Slovenia is a small country in Europe, located along the edge of the Adriatic Sea. The country has been called ‘Europe in miniature’ due to its varied countryside. There's a bit of everything European here, from mountains to plains to beaches. The country also has several lakes and rivers, in addition to its seashore, so tourist attractions tend to be aquatic in nature. Despite its small size, Slovenia has plenty of enjoyable tourist attractions. There are great sightseeing sites, from gothic churches to medieval castles. There are also incredible hiking paths, because half the country is located within forested areas.
