"Wir waren einige Amerikaner, die nach Deutschland gingen, um unsere Genealogie zu erforschen, und einen großartigen Ort mitten in der Heimat unserer Vorfahren genießen konnten.
Die Unterkunft war sehr leicht zu finden. Die Unterkunft bot ausreichend Platz für drei von uns mit eigenen Schlafzimmern und beide Badezimmer waren geräumig und sauber. Genau das, was wir nach langen Tagen auf dem Land brauchten.
Die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und sehr aufmerksam. Vor allem aber waren sie so großzügig, dass sie uns dabei halfen, einen Teil unserer Vorfahren mit nach Hause zu nehmen. All dies trug dazu bei, dass diese Reise ein Leben lang unvergesslich wurde.
We were some Americans who went to Germany to explore our genealogy and was able to enjoy a great place right in the middle of the homeland of our ancestors.
The property was very easy to find. The place had plenty of space for 3 of us to have our own bedrooms and both bathrooms were spaceous and clean. Exaclty what we needed after long days of traveling the countryside.
The owners were very friendly, helpful, and very responsive. But most of all were generous enough to help us be able to bring a little of our ancestory back home with us. All of this helped make this trip memorable for a lifetime."

Hotel Exquisit

Nothing like the pictures, certainly not exquisite
"We were excited about this hotel given the pictures and description on Hotels.com.
On arrival at 9pm, having had difficulty getting into the hotel (the doors were locked and closed and the place looked shut! There’s also another part to the hotel across the road which looked unwelcoming, we tried there too in case there was another reception) eventually someone came to the door, unlocked and removed the obstacles behind the door to allow us to enter. He then checked us in. The hotel is dowdy and the room was dark, dingy and dated. Not at all what we expected.
The ‘feel’ of the place and the area put us on edge, as we are not familiar the locale.
We immediately decided to check out and booked another hotel, even though we would lose our money on this one.
The hotel we moved to (the Lindgart) was much nicer and welcoming (and the reception was open!)
The guy on reception did try to help and offer us another room, but unless he was going to relocate the hotel, decorate and refurbish, there’s not much he could do to put this right.
I’d say it’s a fine hotel for contractors, but not quite the romantic getaway the pictures would have you believe. "
