The room appeared not to have been properly cleaned. There was dirt—and what looked to be black mould—in the window sill, there was dust in the bed head, and dirt spots in the toilet floor. Took photos, went to the reception and showed the photos to them. They offered to come upstairs and wipe it clean, but by then I had lost confidence in the property. This is what the dirt I could see, imagine what I couldn’t see. I asked for a refund, which was promptly actioned. I have zero complaints about the reception staff; they were efficient and professional. My issue is with the cleanliness and care of the room. For the rate we pay, the least I expect is a clean room. Especially if that was really black mould, that’s dangerous. Very disappointing.

Very convenient location especially for SCUH. Stafg were very friendly and check in/out was easy. Car park was tight but was able to find a park. Would recommend and I would stay again.

I enjoyed all the meals, and particularly enjoyed the salmon I had for the evening meal. Because I was going in for surgery, nearby, I was given a time deadline and the staff happily obliged giving me very personal and supportive service. Pleasant hotel suitable for short stays

Breakfast was from an a la carte menu with minimal options, albeit pleasant. Eggs were overcooked. Restaurant for dinner was good. Room was comfortable. Staff were very pleasant. Convenient to the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital, within walking distance. Parking was undercover.

The only negative for my stay was the size and weight of the room service meal plates. I was on my own at the sunny coast for a neurosurgeon appointment having severe back pain and the weight of the plates individually and especially all together on the tray were far too heavy to lift and manoeuvre. The meals were delicious.
