I booked this hotel because the of water view of the harbour while Im relaxing at the pool and the gym. Unfortunately nobody aware me about a huge building construction next to the hotel so pool was full of noise and gym was a construction view. Paying full price for a good quality the Sofitel should the people know before booking or make discount on the price.

I had a fantastic stay at the Sofitel Darling Harbour! From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, professional, and attentive. The rooms are modern, spacious, and offer stunning views of the harbour—especially at sunset. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and everything was spotless. The infinity pool overlooking the city is a definite highlight, and the breakfast buffet had a great variety of high-quality options. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Darling Harbour with easy access to restaurants, shops, and attractions. Highly recommend for a luxurious and relaxing stay in Sydney.

Have stayed before prior to having a baby and it was amazing. Stayed now having a baby and requested a cot at booking time and also at check in which was confirmed. The room wasn’t ready so we had to go to our event and then come back and the cot wasn’t in the room and the baby was asleep and had to wait 40mins for the cot to arrive after calling. Called for ice took 40mins, called for cutlery took about 25mins . The baby change table in the lobby disabled bathroom was in a angle and had to prop your knee up to keep it level

The Sofitel is well maintained with nice rooms and attentive staff. However, it is severely overpriced, the harbour view from our room was obscured by adjacent construction, and construction wake us up in the morning. I wouldn’t recommend this property, particularly whilst the construction is occurring. Once completed, it will also severely impact the view of lower rooms.
