Checked in the very early morning due to an early flight coming in. Our room wasn’t ready til 3pm so from 5:30 am to 3 pm we had to hang around the hotel because nothing was opened. Went into the breakfast buffet restaurant in the lobby which opened at 7am and dining was an excellent experience. The variety of food was amazing! My family and I love this buffet and we ate here every morning. Concierge was so nice and helpful. They were always there to answer your questions and very accommodating and attentive. The hotel also provides a shuttle to certain areas of sightseeing drop off. Just need to follow their schedule of pick up times. I would definitely recommend this hotel to future travelers.

Premier Family Room. 2 nights stay. Room is clean and spacious enough for 3 adults. Staff are friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out process are fast. Will stay here again if i intend to stay near Ximending, Taipei. I timed the walking duration to Ximen Metro station Entrance No. 2 from the hotel. Took 10min. My family enjoyed the stay in this hotel.

2nd visit - 2nd time satisfied. I actually love this hotel. The location is very central and close to markets and grocery stores. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large with added amenities plus are clean and welcoming. The breakfast is probably the best we have had in Taiwan - especially the fresh & crunchy salads and dan dan noodles. Gotta love the daily bag for self-yourself candies. You can’t go wrong here!

Clean room and amenities. We appreciated the quality tea selection provided, as well as the bathroom amenities. We loved the Japanese-type toilet. It was a major deciding factor in choosing a hotel. Our room was always kept clean promptly, all throughout our stay. The bed and pillows were nice and comfortable. Staff were kind and very helpful. It is also wonderful that they understand and speak English. Breakfast selection was also fabulous. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Avoid this hotel: Unfair treatment & poor services

I strongly advise against booking this hotel due to discriminatory practices and poor service. During my under-24-hour stay, I experienced unacceptable treatment at check-in. Despite arriving at 1:50 PM, I was denied early access while Korean guests before me were accommodated immediately. When I requested early check-in for an urgent matter, staff demanded an extra NT$800, after which a room suddenly became available. Their explanation that those guests had booked the previous night was illogical and insulting. Guests have to check out and recheck in for consecutive stays with the same hotel?? The experience worsened with noisy disturbances between midnight and 1am that disrupted sleep. At checkout, the concierge attempted to overcharge for an airport taxi, quoting above the standard fare until I challenged them, They then started arranging for a metered taxi. Perhaps the only reason for such discrepancy was their commissions. These incidents demonstrate a pattern of exploiting guests and providing unequal treatment. For improvement, I recommend implementing fair check-in policies, transparent pricing, and noise management. This hotel's lack of integrity and guest consideration makes it unworthy of recommendation.

The room is AI-powered, which is quite interesting. I really appreciate the hotel’s extra touches, like complimentary souvenirs, snacks, and even a bottle of wine, such pleasant surprises. The only downside is that the bathtub is rather small, just enough for one person

This was our first time in Taipei and we absolutely loved our stay at the Taipei Garden Hotel. It was a true 5-star experience with clean spacious rooms, great views of the city, and extremely friendly & helpful staff. Whenever we would get out of the taxi, the staff greeted us by opening the doors, helped us bring in all our luggages, were very playful and attentive to our child, and helped us with additional questions. It also helped that the hotel had an onsite currency exchange as well as a spa and multiple restaurant options, although there are really great dining options nearby in the Ximending area. What stood out to me most was their choice of shampoo and conditioner - they used L’Occitane which I absolutely adored. The only thing I could possibly fault on is that the shower tiles could be cleaned a bit better, but otherwise everything was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend.
