Room smelled of Tabbaco. We were give a different room with no small fridge the was given another room and every time they made us come down to the lobby instead of sending an employee to give us the new room and key. There is always a tabbaco smell everywhere

I have stayed at this hotel 3-4 times a year for decades. This hotel was built over 40 years ago and remains a Tijuana icon. It went through a rough period for a few years, but over the last 10 years, they have done a fantastic job of revitalizing it. Emma's, the restaurant downstairs, is excellent, and their espresso martini is perfect. There is also a new restaurant/bar that I haven't tried yet. The hotel is in a great location, surrounded by numerous restaurants, including La Especial, one of my all-time favorites in Tijuana. Be sure to ask for Diego—he is the best waiter you'll ever have, and at that restaurant, the waiters cook your steak! It's super safe for both locals and tourists and is close to everything. Parking costs 10 or 15 pesos each time you check out.

Xavier is unprofessional

I hate to report bad stays but this is completely unacceptable. I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and never had any issues until my last stay. After I checked in I had to run to a meeting and left my bags in ten room, I noticed the room was dirty as in there was hair on the bed , makeup on the phone and food crumbs on the dresser. I had to run to a meeting I was late for so I made a complaint over the phone while I was in the taxi. When I returned to the hotel the floor manager Xavier was one of the rudest managers I ever had to deal with. He raised his voice to me in the lobby and I had to tell him to calm down and almost canceled my entire stay and just leave. Instead of him being mad at the cleaning service he spoke to me like I was the problem. I won’t be staying her anymore, Tijuana had more options for better quality and service.

this is a great great great property to stay at as a Expedia platinum VIP. I should’ve gotten a VIP upgrade. The property did not give us the upgrade but besides that I will come back definitely again and stay here.!!!!!! great staff great service great food!!!!
