We were in suit 4. It was dirty, air con don't work, back patio door no lock and patio was dirty, cigarettes everywhere it was disgusting. Bathroom the shower door hardly shut, carpet looks dirty. Stuff was very nice on the first day we were there stayed next day had lunch, food was horrible, chicken schnitzel was raw so couldn't eat it. And staff that day was so rude. One staff came and told us about the smoking rules but didn't tell any other table and we all knew the rule as we stayed there and knew where smoking area was. It needs to be updated and a good clean out.

The saying ‘You get what you pay for’ stands true for this place… actually, I think I over paid for what we got! I have no complaints at all with the staff and service we received.. but that was the only good points. The room.. felt dirty, looked dirty, smelt terrible. So very outdated with paint peeling off the ceiling and walls in bathroom. Exhaust fan not working. Sagging old bed. Sticky carpets. So noisy!! Had people yelling and screaming all hours of the night and early morning. We dined in at the restaurant and soon regretted that decision. Ordered 2 entrees and 2 mains. Specifically asked for entrees to be brought out before mains and all 4 arrived at the same time! Had buffalo wings which were inedible due to tasting like straight vinegar.. when complained was told it was because they use bottled sauce. I have used several brands of ready made buffalo sauce and have never had any taste like a bottle of vinegar. Staff were great about it though and I did receive a refund. Carbonara pasta was like soup. Loaded fries were cold. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place at all.. will not stay again.

Very out dated hotel. A backpackers hotel. Bed very cheap. Rooms well over due for renovations. Had one meal at the restaurant which was disappointing because the sausages weren't properly cooked and partly raw and the staff couldn't careless and didnt offer any compensation, had to go elsewhere for a better meal. A very cheap place. Definitely get what you pay for and i wouldnt recommend this place to any friends or family visiting Townsville

This hotel was convenient for the price, definitely out dated, such a shame the property owner hasn't renovated as it really needs it. Cheap beds. Needs a face lift big time. Perfect backpacker accommodation.

Was initially give a room without enough beds for people booked , receptionist moved us to a ‘suite’ only when I provided evidence that I had booked for 4 people and needed 4 beds. Fire alarm went off twice (including at 3am!) only for staff to then say ‘false alarm’. Building, room and amenities in serious need of renovation. Mattresses sagging, carpets torn and not a single wall with undamaged paint. It might be cheap, but it’s also nasty.
