Fantastic facilities; however, we stayed for 6 nights and didn’t have housekeeping through once, had a fault with the spa bath that we informed them of on the second day and no one came to fix it, and our check in receptionist didn’t explain anything to us other than where our room was - she didn’t explain the parking, wi-fi or hotel facilities. That was quite disappointing. Beautiful hotel and we have stayed with Mantra before, but we felt that we were not given the full Mantra experience.

Overall facilities are great for families, pool, outdoor area and walkable shops. The rooms itself could do with a bit of an update and didn’t love between the bedroom and bathroom is just shutters, and the bathroom door is shutters, but otherwise has everything you need.

Wonderful family friendly holiday destination, we had so much fun. Everything within walking distance, bike tracks, pools, hot spa, restaurants, beach, shops and beautiful walking tracks. We will be making it an annual trip!

Disappointed arrival

Checkin, room wasn't ready at 2.05pm. Girl at reception would text us when ready. She didnt, we wrnt to reception 1hr layer to check and ot was ready, asked why she didn't let us know, no response, asked sgain no response. She said she would arrange extra sheets, didnt happen, had to contact housekeeping. We booked breakfast for Seasons, got there, nobooking altjough ot had neen charged, we were suppose to get vouchers and girls at reception didn't even talk about vouchers, just said she would book for us. This was all the same girl on reception.. got to room, cards weren't coded, so couldn't access room. All other staff were amazing especially the restaurant manager at breakfast. After the checkin dramas it was a lovely stay, however ckeaning needs to be better.

I love Salt Mantra. The decor is always freshly painted and carpets regularly replaced. Immaculate gardens and the best region in Australia - NSW Northern Rivers. So many happy stays with some many fun friends over what must be 20 years. But Accor have let the team down. The staff are great. Cocktails first rate and Reception efficient. However my last two visits ((i) The safe never worked and despite constant requests for 2 days to front desk, no maintenance person attended. (Ii) How "dumb" is a suite telephone that doesnt have "Reception - Dial 5" on it. And I had to ring on my mobile to get two "Hold, please" responses and no reply. This is not the Sofitel I know, or even the Novotel at Bangkok Airport, or, even the Ibis at HCM Airport. And no beach towels at the pool and no pool attendant anymore. Pls tell head office to supply more maintenance staff, start stocking mini-bar again, providing room service, put up with the odd guest that locks their passport in the safe and has an hour to catch a flight at Coolie A/P. And fix your room hand set up with a Reception # pls, but provide an extra staff member, to give Sacha and her lovely front of office team, a break. But I will be back - because the rooms are spacious, the air unbelievably fresh. The fishing great and the sharks numerous.

We were told our room is not ready at check-in and they will give us a call when it's ready to come back. we never receive any calls from the reception/staff. Once we in our room, we found the bath towels are a bit damp and there's hair still attached to it (Disgusting). The toilet seat was loose as well. Not a nice experience.

Absolutely loved the property and the convenience to local dining and lunch options. Didn’t have a bad meal the whole time we stayed at the Mantra on Salt. The main pool was amazing not overcrowded even though a lot of people were staying there and a lot of people were in the pool. I really enjoyable stay.
