Spacious room with high ceilings, carved wooden door, balcony facing the rice fields, tiled flooring kept clean throughout the stay, large bathtub. Electric mosquito repellent provided, 2 bottles of water every day. The breakfast was pretty good and comes with a fruit platter and tea/coffee/juice, and we got the chance to order something different every night from their menu. Free shuttle (with 15-20min notice) to and from Ubud central, which was helpful as the location is some distance away. Staff was polite, friendly and helpful. Minor inconveniences: not many hooks in the bathroom to hang stuff up, hairdryer was very weak. But overall a wonderful, very affordable stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Junungan! Everyone was so kind and helpful. They reached out to me a few days before we arrived to arrange a pickup from the airport. The breakfast was delicious every morning with quite a few options. The location is a little bit out of the main area which makes it very peaceful. We got a daily shuttle to the downtown area and back, which made it easy to explore. We did a couple of the excursions which were so much fun! They have a pool and a spa on site. The room was beautiful, clean, and just like the photos. The view of the rice terrace from the balcony was amazing. The air conditioning worked well. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Very “Zen-like” hotel. So peaceful!

Our room was beautiful and quiet and the bed very comfortable .The staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Ms. Siwi and Ms. Sri made this a very special stay. They were incredibly helpful in communicating prior to our arrival and they were accommodating and hospital during our short stay. They are the magic that made this a memorable stay. The hotel itself is small with not much social public areas. There is a lovely small pool which surprisingly was cold after the rain - a much welcome surprise given the humidity- very refreshing. The restaurant is a wide open air area below ground level. The chef prepares delicious meals and we particularly enjoyed the tumeric drink. The rooms are amazing. The hotel is basically a small reception area with an easy parking spot for cars to pull into and to pick up from, then a set of rooms on three levels (I think). Our rooms were on the ground with stunning views of the padi fields. The rooms themselves were very spacious. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked very well. The bathroom - the bathtub is enormous- the water pressure is excellent for showers and hot water is indeed hot. The room os beautifully furnished with dark woods and they provide lovely batik robes and comfy slippers. It was very relaxing. They also provide a free shuttle one a day per room to and from Ubud center. We were there during Christmas and traffic was just horrendous as many domestic tourists came with their cars. So it was quite a slog to get through the town. However, once we were at the hotel, all that disappeared. It was incredibly relaxing.

Absolutely loved our 5 nights at Junjungan Hotel!!!.staff was beyond amazing and went way above to ensure our stay was superb! Bed was the best we have enjoyed on many travels around the world!!! Highlight was sitting at night on our balcony and watching all the fireflies in the rice fields!!! Pure Magic!! 💖🌠❤️

Had a great stay at this small family run hotel. The room was spacious with a sitting area and a balcony. Its an old Balinese style hotel with lots of charm. The balcony overlooks a rice field. There is shuttle service to and from central Ubud since its a distance away. The staff were outstanding. I didnt visit the spa (think it was under construction) but i had an amazing massage in my room. Overall this property was well worth it for the price I paid.
