A wonderful choice!!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Pan Pacific! 5 stars! We were given such a wonderful surprise by getting upgraded to a harbour view room - fell asleep looking at the sails and lights on the water. One of the best views in vancouver! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The details and lay-out are well thought out. Beds are so comfortable and TV was easy to use. The housekeepers do a wonderful job! There are some signs of aging but it truly does not feel dingy or dirty but rather just some character. A real, quality hotel! We loved that our room had small windows that open - it appears not all rooms do, so inquire when booking. It is a great location and really a beautiful landmark. Because it is such a popular and large hotel, check in/out had a line each time we went to the front desk and there were two occasions when our keys didn’t work. However there was always someone on the flood that was able to let us in to our room and then we got our keys sorted the next time we went out. We ordered room service once and it was so beautifully plated and presented. Such a treat! There was some inaccuracies on both the printed menus about what was included - said ‘and’ not ‘or’ but apparently they had changed it. They were apologetic and said ‘easy to misunderstand’ but it wasn’t that, it was a printed mistake. A minor thing, but can be disappointing when it’s not dealt with. Would absolutely stay again, highly recommend! A memorable stay!

My husband doesn’t use the elevator and no one seemed to be able to figure out how to open the stairwell as it is always locked. Took an extra 30-45 every time we wanted to go out or go to the swimming pool as it’s locked on 9 and the pool is on 8. Mini fridge was broken and I had $450 medication in there that needs to stay cold. Staff said we should have told them sooner (rudely) even though obviously we were out site seeing all day and weren’t in our room monitoring the fridge temperature. Parking lot was being worked on so had to park far away and the payment app didn’t work. Beautiful hotel and view but not the best staff and experience for the cost.
