The property is vast and beautiful. A nice change to be away from the city. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. My room was nice, clean, with modern touches. The weather was warm and there were no windows to open so the room was too hot to facilitate sleep.

Avoid this hotel - false manor appearance

This hotel could be great with historical manor and moat on the premises: however: hotel rooms are not in manor. They are in a large dark wooden buidling under construction in muddy surroundings. Service is outright lousy. We had to wait quite a while to be served by a non-engaged employee. The first room we got had such penetrating bad smell of sewage that we instantly asked for another room. The next room had the same problem. Finally the third room on the dark ground floor appeared acceptable. All that walking forth and back with luggage! We asked whether we could see the manor the following day. The answer was that it is unfortunately closed on Saturdays. We were told to our satisfaction that the kitchen had been informed about my wife's lactose intolerance. When we arrived for breakfast nobody knew anything. The cook could not even answer whether sausages and bread contained milk. Nobody knew anything, and in the end my wife was served what appeared as some older dry bread, which was hardly edible.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, restaurant was beautiful with great food and great service. It's a castle! Such a beautiful place - felt like a walk back in history with a modern twist.

Luxury fishing comfort.

Great hotel out in the country. The hotel is an interesting old (but top renovated) building in itself. Walking distance to the river (StorÄen) for fishing. A fishing permit can be bought in the nearby village.

Vi boede i rum 55. Alt var rigtig fint, omend der var ekstremt lydt pÄ vÊrelset. Bor der nogle ved siden af dig kan du vÊre sikker pÄ at du stÄr op pÄ samme tid som dem, sÄ lydt er der.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt mit Herrenhaus-AtmosphÀre

Das Landgut liegt ein paar 100m abseits der Hauptstraße und die alten GebĂ€ude sowie die Umgebung sind gut gepflegt. Ein Aufenthalt ist so fast in historischer AtmosphĂ€re möglich. Die Zimmer liegen in den NebengebĂ€uden des Herrenhauses und sind sehr gerĂ€umig. Unseres verfĂŒgte ĂŒber eine Holzterrasse. Die ParkplĂ€tze befanden sich in unmittelbarer NĂ€he der SchlafstĂ€tte, wĂ€hrend man zur Rezeption und zum FrĂŒhstĂŒck ca. 200m ĂŒber das GelĂ€nde laufen musste. Die LadesĂ€ulen fĂŒr Elektroautos sind etwas abseits der Zimmer zu finden. Das Bad war sauber, wies jedoch einige FeuchtigkeitsschĂ€den an Metallteilen auf. Der Waschtisch besteht aus Holz. Die Fußbodenheizung war fĂŒr uns nicht regelbar oder wir haben das Thermostat nicht gefunden. Es war etwas zu warm. Das FrĂŒhstĂŒck hatte eine gute Auswahl und man konnte auch selbst Pancakes zubereiten. Die SaftglĂ€ser in FingerhutgrĂ¶ĂŸe sollten aber langsam der Vergangenheit angehören. Eine empfehlenswerte Unterkunft mit besonderem Flair mit leichten AbzĂŒgen in der B-Note. Wir kommen wieder!
