It was fantastic being met by the host and introduced to everything in the flat. The listing was exactly as stated, perfect for our visit to the Biennale, as it was in a very short distance to the Giardini and the Arsenale. We would recommend the apartment and we definitely would return in the future again.

Lovely apartment

Very clean and modern. Very helpful host. One tip, if you are travelling by bus from Marco Polo Airport, make sure that you get a ticket before boarding a bus. We were tricked by the driver to board and then ambushed by a ticket inspector 10 seconds later who fined us 120. Disgraceful behaviour by people exploiting tourists. We would have got off the bus if the driver hadn’t beckoned us on. That said it didn’t spoil a lovely week in a beautiful city.

Great stay!

Perfect location for a quiet stay in Venice. Close to Vaporetto station, grocery store and local restaurants and a short boat ride to the beautiful beaches of Lido. The apartment was perfect for our family of 5 and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay.

Relaxing and accommodating home in Castello

Silvia was very helpful and accommodating throughout the reservation, check-in, and duration of our stay. Great location near multiple parks, coffee shops, and local destinations. I look forward to staying here in the future.

Fabulous location Wonderful Comfortable Digs

Our host Silvia have us great very precise directions from the train station onto the vaporetti. We were right outside the gorgeous Biennial gardens and within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and the vaporetti. The apartment was very comfortable for the four of us and very well equipped. We did have some issues with the internet being very slow and at times non-existent. The hot water in the shower kept going from hot to cold so the four of us getting ready in the morning was a challenge. Depending on the time of year you visit, bring mosquito repellent. We had a nice stay at the apartment. The neighborhood is out if the touristy areas so it was nice to get away at night. We also found an amazing little restaurant super close by...I believe it was called Osteria Da Divo if I remember right.....thanks for a nice stay in Venice :)

Wonderful apartment in a great location.

Wonderful apartment in a quieter area of Venice but with great access to the rest of Venice via the water ferries (stop was only 5 mins walk away) or simply walking to St Mark's square (20 min walk). Wide choice of restaurants 5 min walk away together with a supermarket with everything you need for your stay. The property had everything we needed for our 4 night stay in Venice. Having the three bedrooms was a great bonus for the kids who could have their own rooms. Silvie was a great host and was very welcoming when we arrived late to the property. She explained everything and provided tips on things like the Vaporetto tickets. We would highly recommend this property and will definitely look at booking the property when we return to Venice again.

Well appointed and very comfortable. Easy to reach all parts of Venice and a relaxing area

Good welcome on arrival. Plenty of hot water and towels, good bathrooms and bedrooms. Efficient air conditioning. Well equipped kitchen but no oven (but we didn't need it). Living room comfortable and stylish, another easy chair would be useful. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment.

Best. Time. Ever.

I absolutely loved Cocal! Silvia was so sweet and an absolutely amazing host! She picked us up in the rain and cold when the water taxi dropped us off at the wrong spot, and even provided rain boots for us to get into the apartment during high tide! Amazing location near the main street of Girbaldi and just far enough away from the touristy St. Mark's Square which was only a 15-20 minute walk right down the coast. Quiet nights, great local restaurants and gelaterias, and the best pizza we had all week was literally 3 min away. There were 6 of us first-timers on a couple's trip and we all had PLENTY of room to stretch out as Silvia set up the rooms with all comfortable double beds for each couple! Updated and modern, loaded with all our needs, with a bonus washer/dryer combo in the apartment was a HUGE asset! Felt great to come home with clean clothes! Overall, we would absolutely rent again! Silvia has customers for life! Venezia!!!!!

Great location for us and perfect with baby

Great first floor, expansive apartment that we stayed at for a wonderful week. The space was great for us and our baby and we had a family guest stay and she had her own room and bathroom in really a separate and private part of the apartment. We cooked every night because of the baby and the kitchen was very handy. Loved the location - very near the vaporetto stops at Giardini and Aresenale. Convenient to the Coop grocery store and some local, decent restaurants. A few quibbles: wish there had been more comfortable furniture in the living room - it was a bit spare and another chair or a rug would have been nice! Would have liked a shelf in the shower to put shampoo and soap on. The smoke alarm went off two times when we were cooking and we weren't making anything especially smokey. Overall, a great week for us and a wonderful apartment for us.

A beautiful, spacious apartment in an excellent location.

A great apartment. In a quiet, safe neighbourhood, away from the crowds, but just a stone's throw away from the breathtaking waterfront and the vaporetto stop, this beautiful apartment was ideal! Nearby Via Garibaldi is full of bars and restaurants and a small supermarket and the apartment is very well equipped. The Biennale exhibition is literally round the corner, and we loved the fact that it was only one stop from the Giardini vaporetto stop to the Lido's safe, sandy beach. It was very hot during our stay, but the large air conditioner and ceiling fans kept us cool in the evening - we kept the windows and shutters closed to keep the sun out. Perfect for a family - roomy, comfy bedrooms and two lovely bathrooms. Top tip - Get up early and stroll to St.Mark's Square before the day trippers arrive - it's magical. As well as the main attractions, we also enjoyed visiting the Jewish ghetto and museum, the islands - especially Torcello, and the palazzo museums - Ca' Pesaro, Museo Correr ( cafe with the best view in Venice!) and Ca' Rezzonico. We also took the train to Padua - an easy and cheap daytrip to another fabulous city. A wonderful holiday.

Cool, relaxing, quiet, comfortable place to stay for a week in Venice

This was a wonderful place to stay while exploring Venice. I enjoyed taking walks in the nearby shady park in the morning. We appreciated being close to the Giardini boat stop as well as a main street where we could go for a meal at a restaurant or pick up groceries at the store or items at the pharmacy. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms since there were four of us and the kitchen was a good size to prepare a few meals. We were glad to have dishes, pans, utensils and a few pantry items on hand. it was convenient to have wifi and washing machine and air-conditioning. Overall a very nice, clean place.

This home is perfect for a family. It is large and well located in a quiet neighborhood but close to St. Marks. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare full meals and the Coop is just minutes away. We will stay here again if we return to Venice.

What a fantastic place! It all looked completely new and was so large and roomy. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and all was spotlessly clean. It was near the garden and non touristy area which was a relief with all of the cement and tourists elsewhere. Silvia was a jewel before and during the stay. She went out of her way to help us. It was close to the boats, a grocery store, and some great restaurants which were local and not touristy. We were in Italy for almost 3 months and this place was the BEST!

Large Gorgeous Apartment in Excellent Location

Highly recommend this apartment - it was newly remodeled and appeared to be decorated by a professional interior designer - it was gorgeous! It was very large with 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms as well as a big kitchen and living/dining room. Had everything we needed from a dishwasher to a washer/dryer to high speed internet. It was a great quiet location in a local neighborhood - away from all all the tourist crowds but yet only about a 20 min walk to St Mark's along the Grand Canal. A 5 min walk to a street with a large Coop supermarket, several bakeries, many restaurants and wine bars, and fruit and vegetable stands. Also, only about a 2 to 3 min walk to the Biennale vaperetto (water bus) station. Very convenient location for everything you need for a wonderful stay. Daniela, the host, was equally wonderful. She met us where the private airport water dropped us off - it was $110 for 6 people. The driver called Daniela and she told him where to drop us off - which was only a block from the apartment. She explained how everything in the apt worked and showed us on the map where the grocery, restaurants, etc was located. Daniela even provided us an extra coffee maker as requested ( typical large USA drip type). Excellent customer service- thank you Daniela. The only cons in the apartment was the morning noise from the upstairs apt - just everyday living noise but the residents were early risers. Only a problem if you are a light sleeper like myself, because my hubby slept thru it. Also, a coffee and/or end tables in the living room would be nice so one has a place for drinks while watching TV. Last thing, there were mosquitoes as the window had no screens - so we ended up keeping the windows closed and using the living room air conditioner and ceiling fans in all 3 bedrooms - which was comfortable during our visit in the last week of Sept. 2016. Excellent value for a magnificent apartment and would not hesitate to rent again should we ever return to Venice.

Hébergement très confortable et super accueil !

L’appartement est vraiment très agréable, très pratique et tres bien équipé. La literie est de super qualité ! L’emplacement est un peu excentré mais c’est plutôt calme du coup (séjour la semaine du nouvel an). Et puis, on rejoint la place Saint-Marc en un quart d’heure malgré tout. L’accueil par Sylvia et son époux a également été super, avec tous les renseignements dont nous avions besoin et nous avons pu leur laisser nos bagages le dernier jour en attendant l’heure du départ afin de profiter une dernière fois de la ville. Peut-être seul petit bémol, l’insonorisation n’est pas parfaite mais c’est sans doute souvent le cas dans ces vieux immeubles vénitiens (mais attention : tout est tres moderne dans l’appartement). Ce fut un super séjour !!
