Luxuriously restored and furnished, it shares rare communal amenities such as elevator, large terrace and great canal views.



It is found in the west side of Castello District, only a few minutes’ walk from San Marco Square, one of the most integrally authentic parts of the city. In the surroundings there are lots of artisan and antique ateliers, local food shops and delicious osterie (traditional restaurants). Some of the cultural landmarks that can be found close by in Castello beside the well-known Arsenale and Biennale Gardens include Basilica Santi Giovanni e Paolo, Scuola di San Giorgio degli Schiavoni, Church of San Giorgio dei Greci, Campo Santa Maria Formosa, Church of San Zaccaria and many others.



The Alighieri can be reached from the Marco Polo Airport by private water taxi in about 20 minutes ride through the lagoon, or in less than 5 minutes’ walk from the Vaporetto stop San Zaccaria, thus conveniently located.



Beside installing the elevator, during the recent renovation the original terrazzo flooring and art-deco inspired inlaid parquet where fixed, frescoes and stuccoes brought back to the ancient splendour, the spacious terrace equipped with table, sunshade and sun chairs, at the ground floor a Sauna is available on request.



Each apartment can be accessed from a very bright and elegant shared entrance hall giving on to the communal terraces.

The Alighieri “A” is a charming studio apartment features a king size bed (composed two single beds that can be separated on request) a nice kitchenette and a small but well-designed marble bathroom with shower.



The Alighieri “C” has a living/dining room with stunning canal view overlooking Rio di San Lorenzo and a modern kitchen, plus two double/twin bedrooms with two excellent bathrooms, offering total comfort and privacy to 4 guests.



At the Alighieri “D” is composed by an elegant living room showcasing a contemporary and functional open plan kitchen, while offering very comfortable sitting space on a designer sofa. There is a grand master bedroom, where superb furnishings and plenty of natural light really enhance the beauty of this exquisite room. There is an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and a further en-suite bathroom with shower for the second double bedroom. The apartment features a spacious attic floor that can be used as playroom or extra bedroom with a French size bed (140 cm wide) perfect for 2 children or 1 adult.

Truly Venice experience

Great space for 9 adults and 2 babies. Groceries around corner as well as taxi pickup. Wonderful neighborhood restaurants and San Marco less than 10 min walk. Garbage was frustrating but understandable with a city of no cars. AC was good most of time but it was so hot fans were needed and we had to purchase in order to sleep. Outstanding concierge service provided by property managers, special shout out to Daniella for doing a superb job with taxis, beach reservations, tour, restaurant recommendations-everything!!! Would stay again snd again. Thank you for showing us Venice.

Family time in Venice

Our family of 12 spent three nights in “The Palace” on Calla Lion. There is a private lift as you enter the building that elevates you and your luggage to the fourth floor. The alternate rout up the marble treaded stairs can be an exercise session - it is four floors and in the summer, it is warm in the corridors. We rented all four of the apartments in The Palace and each served our purposes nicely. Great location. Easy walking distance to great sites and restaurants.

Wonderful location, generous lodging, well-equipped kitchen

We were two extended families traveling together with 5 children under 10 and had a lovely stay here. The space was generous and very clean, and the hosts were incredibly helpful booking restaurants and water taxis. Excellent! Will stay again!
