apparently, I was placed in the adjoining “old building“ and I felt like one of the only people in that entire side of the hotel. I’m not sure anyone else was even on my floor. The view was not bad. The room was very sparse, no notable decor and I found it slightly depressing.
If you’re going to the museums, it is in a good location. This is in the museum, quarter, district 6.
I found the breakfast to be completely un appealing, it looked sad and I didn’t feel comfortable eating any of the food. Also, Weil breakfast ends at 10:30, they literally mean you have to leave that room by 10:30, you can’t even be finishing eating. Which leads me to the fact that in general, I didn’t care for the staff of the hotel.
if you want an iron and ironing board, you’re expected to schlep it up to your room yourself. You are required to go to the front desk. Ask them to please give you an iron and ironing board and then drag it up to your room. I found the gentleman who appeared to be a manager to be condescending and passive aggressive. Also the woman who checked me in later in the afternoon on the day I arrived I found to be rude and was trying to rush me into releasing their free use of confidential identification information without telling me I had the right to decline, until I pushed back. She also had a very rude tone about the fact that I was “traveling all alone”
Icannot recommend given depressing room + completely unappealing breakfast, + a couple of key staff members behavior
