Clean and serene with beautiful views.

This was our second stay at Black Beach Suites—we had such a good experience previously that we booked it again when we came back to Vik. Beautiful view of the beach, a small kitchenette with a dishwasher, and close to Reynisfjara as well as Vik. Large bathroom and shower (wear sandals if you can, as the floor floods by design and is a fall hazard). We ate breakfast at The Barn, which had good coffee, a small selection of juices, and simple pastries. The property is very quiet.

Stayed here multiple times throughout our vacation in Iceland. Hands down one of the top properties that we stayed at. Very amazing staff and very good amenities very close if you want drinks or food

The black beach suites hosts an amazing view of the landscape leading to the ocean and has a very clean interior and exterior. The staff is very thorough and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable. The bar serves delicious drinks and snacks late into the night if you choose to indulge yourself in the late night activities. Staying on the bottom floor you do occasionally hear your upstairs neighbors but it’s nothing worth noting. The laundry service at the check in desk is a very nice thing to have if you have a long trip ahead.

It was absolutely gorgeous. It was a five minute drive to the beach. 10 minute drive to the city of vik. My sweet was absolutely stunning. If I returned to Vic, which I would like to, I will unequivocally book at this place again.

I would not stay here again. Quite a few issues and a high price point that would make me expect to not have so many issues: *I was given the wrong room type from what I booked. When I asked to be moved to what I booked, I was lied to and told all of those rooms were booked. *The door in my room was broken and I could not close it. As a result I had to be moved to a different room (ironically, the type that I originally booked but was told was not available). *The rooms are EXTREMELY hot. Like 85 degrees Fahrenheit. The thermostats do not work. I was told by the front desk to open the door if I want to cool it down. I’m obviously not going to sleep with the door open, so it was extremely hot overnight. Very hard to sleep. *Each time I asked the staff to help with the room temperature (they told me they have the master controls) they were very rude and just seemed to want me off the phone. Out of everywhere I’ve gone in Iceland, this was the least friendly and hospitable service I received.

Out of town in a quiet and open area. Nice spacious rooms. Could see the ocean in the distance. The Aurora didn’t cooperate while we were there but I would think this would be a good place to see them.

The hotel was beautiful, the only reason I am not rating it as excellent is because our room was extremely hot. I would guess above 80 degrees, we had to turn the heat off completely and sleep with the patio door and all of the windows open in attempt to cool it down.

From what I can tell, this is the best place to stay near Vik. Beautiful view, well-appointed, quiet. We had everything we needed and were super comfortable in our family room. The breakfast scene in the barn was disappointing (bad coffee and pastries), but if you get food from the market in Vik you have everything you need in the room to prepare your own meals. Highly recommend and I will def book there again when we go to gorgeous Iceland again!

Black Beach Suites was a beaut! It was the perfect location for a stay in Vik. Just a couple minutes from the center. We saw the Northern Lights from outside the suite and drove up the hill for a better view. FYI: The room got extremely hot at night so consider turning down the temperature before bed. Breakfast was not complementary. BBS would be best if you are staying several days and plan to make use of the kitchenette of course. You've got to try Black Crust Pizza! Some of the best I've ever had and I've eaten a lot of pizza.

Dont hesitate to book this place!

Spotlessly clean and stylish cabin with an awesome view. It was just perfect. Had everything you needed. Even free access to netflix on the huge smart tv. It had a lovely walk in shower with heated floor too...so divine and I wish I could have stayed there longer! There is parking allocated directly outside the suites and up at the Barn you can grab a bite to eat (they sell chicken tenders, pizza etc). It's a limited menu but done well.
