The setting was beautiful. The breakfast was good. We had an issue with an overcharge and the staff was not helpful and very accusatory. We are still getting the run around from them with three different stories. Also the rooms when by the door entering into the building slammed shut non stop all night long, Not restful.

This hotel is in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. The breakfast had many options that we hadn’t come across elsewhere on our Iceland adventures.

Lovely Lodge, But Gym and Spa Opens Late

Pros: - Friendly, helpful staff - Delicious breakfast with options for various diets - Comfortable, clean rooms - Cozy lodge-style vibe Cons: - Gym and spa only open from 5pm–11pm, so morning or - afternoon workouts aren’t possible - Need to walk between buildings to access rooms, restaurant, and gym. Notes: The location is fairly rural, with no nearby restaurants. We recommend dining at the hotel restaurant—the food was excellent and reasonably priced.

Room was comfortable and clean. Nicely furnished / modern. They had a very nice breakfast buffet. Got there late and had to leave early the next morning so we didn't have much time to explore the property, but what we saw was very nice. Hotel was conveniently located for us to explore Dryholaey, Reynisjara, Skogafoss, Mossy Lava Fields and Fjadrargljufur.

The hotel is very neat and clean and breakfast is high standard. Also I had a great experience with this hotel.I had left my sweater in the room, but thanks to their quick response, I was able to receive it at the hotel in Reykjavik on the day of my departure. I was truly touched by their kindness. Highly recommended.
