The hotel shares access with a restaurant; for some reason they blocked off the 4 meager parking pots (short term), so it was difficult to check in. The elevator has a weird smell; I found a roach in the bathroom in th emiddle of the night (they came and removed it), but it left me a bit weird. Problem for many hotels: why are sheets so shorts that cannot cover the mattress in its full length?

The highlight my short stay was a deep tissue massage at the spa located on the same floor as the gym. Karen, the massage therapist who did 60 minutes massage was also a healer and did an outstanding job! The restaurant located within the property is just okay. I had a dinner there due to convenience.

From the photos, this place looks nice but between the lack of a welcome entering the door, spotty interenet access, and limited 24-hour service, this was a poor experience overall. Upon my arrival, I entered the room, connected all devices to the internet, and within 3-5 minutes, the internet went out and was intermittent the rest of my stay. Checked the tv to ensure it was not an issue with my desvices and all I received was a grey screen that there was no internet connected to the television. They sent up engineering to support, and he did the best he could, but the lack of quality internet was the issue. When I contacted the front desk to voice my concern, she was not helpful and provided no alternative solutions for the issue. Not only that, the TV only provided local channels, and each app that was provided could only be used with your personal accounts. I took ill the last day in my stay, and contacted the 24-hour room service for tea...there was NO TEA available. There was something at every corner, the parking was $45 daily and a1-way. The process to get a pass was also antiquated and such an inconvenience. I originally stayed at the DuPont Circle Hotel and it was such an amazing experience, but it was booked the entire week for my stay. Glover Park proved to be closer in radius compared to others, and the website showed potential. I do not recommend this hotel, especially if you are traveling for business or pleasure. It was not ideal.

The staff was very nice, the furnishings were in good condition, however, the beds have corners that are sharp and stick out so far that it is difficult to walk around them without getting a bruise! Bathroom very small, mildewed grout.

Sofa was absolutely filthy!! I would not sit on it or let anything touch it. The light by the closet was burnt out. No soft pillows available. Usually when there are 2 pillows offered per person. All of them were hard. Furniture was slightly outdated but I can live with that. Clean except for the sofa. Staff both at checking and checking out were totally awesome. Extremely friendly, professional, caring, helpful, neat appearance and cheerful. I would stay there again if I had the need. I’m certain they sent people up to address the issues. They discounted my parking fee.

Helpfulness and friendliness, as well as professionalism of the hotel staff was beyond expectations. Location is great, plenty places to eat at, trader joe’s and whole foods within walking distance, main attractions a short ride away. But keep in mind, like in every old building there is very light soundproofing. One can easily participate in the conversation next door) Nonetheless, i can wholeheartedly recommend the place. Clean, convenient and friendly. Oh, and the food at the restaurant downstairs is delicious!
