Great value hotel, the staff are really nice but English is limited. We found using a translation app worked really well.

Ascot Riverside Garden

The first 5 days we stayed at a deluxe family room with a huge bedroom and living room combined. It was great specially when you are traveling with your kids. The only disadvantage was the bathroom was in between the Kitchen and Bedroom. If anyone in the shower, you have to stay either in the kitchen or Bedroom. Wish they designed it better. Ascot has maintained quality with their fixtures, linens, kitchen wears. Breakfast buffet was good plenty of continental options. Location I am not totally satisfied. The subway station is about 1 mile. Its extremely hard to find taxi to hotel. We had to walk few times from the subway station. Otherwise we had a great time. The staff is courteous and ambience is great.

This was in a great location, close to the city wall and metro stop, so it was easy to get everywhere we needed to. The Orbitz description was misleading, saying no kids were allowed, but in fact kids with a parent and/or guardians are fine--we brought 4 :) Also, it said the hotel didn't have a front desk. This was also false. There was a front desk where we checked in upon arrival. Checkout was a simple return of the room key. The rooms were nice, spacious, and the showers were very nice!

The hotel is located at a great central location, right close to the city wall. There are a a lot of great restaurants close by and it’s close to metro. It takes 40 minutes to get to the high speed rail station by metro and the cost to get there by taxi is only 52 yuan. We enjoyed the stay.

Clean and new feel of facility, thoughtful designs including many power plugs, a night light under the desk and many shelving solutions throughout the room. Perfect bed and pillow firmness for a comfortable and quality sleep. Free beverages in the mini fridge and free laundry machines are a plus. Paid breakfast has lots of choices with daily specials. Plenty of tasty and healthy vegetable dishes as well. We decided not to go out for breakfast after the first morning. Staff were very helpful. Travel agency associated with the hotel turned out to be a trusted company that provided us with excellent service as well. In China, room descriptions were a bit confusing. Twin beds are actually double or queen beds, refer to the size descriptions, eg. 1.5m, etc. Based on reviews, I asked for a room with a view but found out upon arrival that rooms with double beds have no view of the city wall but the breakfast room has it and is accessible 24hrs, making up for that. What I wish is that the no smoking policy be better designed and enforced so that the nonsmoking room has no residual smells of cigarette smoke. We had to ask for a different room due to the strong smell and the room we stayed still had some of it. Smoking should be encouraged only outside the main entrance or a smoking room on the first floor to limit smells from entering nonsmoking areas. Overall, we loved our stay and would recommend it to friends if they don’t mind the cigarette smoke smells.

早朝発で一泊しただけで殆ど利用出来てないのが勿体ない事をした。デザイナーズホテルで部屋はシンプルながら美しい。コンセントは日本のAタイプがそのまま刺さる。 眼下に永寧門と公園、城壁のライトアップが広がり眺めは抜群。地下鉄駅が近いし西安鐘楼までもあるいて行ける。 実はタクシーアプリで間違って系列の別ホテルにチェックインしようとして旅程表を置いてきてしまったが何も言わなくても翌朝届けていてくれた。
