Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa
"In randomized order but useful points; Room was clean. Room had proper air conditioning, hot water, cold water, and a fridge with very usable balcony space. Room for price was excellent. Valet was very useful, but very expensive. It was $80 a night which is deceiving as that is not what is advertised. At times, the Valet staff would not pick up the phone after multiple calls. Upon walking down there they were horse playing. Still, in person service was great. All staff were remarkably friendly. However, this is not a resort. The pool is way too small and that area is unusable. The bar is the worst on the strip and most expensive. Go literally anywhere else for food or drinks. The buffet was roughly $90 a night and local food was much better. In total, my girl and I used the room only and the free beach towels. The entire rest of the resort was skipped. There are only four washers and four dryers for each building (2). Be prepared to spend a couple of hours there. Beach view is nice, HOWEVER, you can not really access it on the pool deck as those seats are reservation only and the time ends at 4pm with no room after it. In total. It was a great stay. A true 3-4 star hotel, and a bang for your money. But… if you are looking for a true “resort” this is not it. This was more like an Air B&B mixed in with Resort features on the water and is priced as such. The best think was the room. Requesting a higher floor is a necessity due to construction and noise."
