This is not a five star hotel. Rooms are dated. Hotel staff need training on hospitality. Less than mediocre in general. I started off by asking for a room change after seeing the state of the bathroom . I didn’t think I could come out feeling clean after a shower in there. Tile grout was grotty. Shower curtain( not seen one in a decent hotel for a while) looked not quite right, patches of dirt on bedroom walls etc. I was informed I was in a “traditional room” but was promptly moved to another room which was a bit better although there were stains on rug etc Went to bar for a drink, limited range of wines. Cheap wines at expensive prices . Ended up asking for Indian fizz which tasted slightly decent. Bar staff brought some peanut and crisps with half a thumb in the bowl touching the peanuts. Happened on both occasions I ordered from bar during my stay. Dinner was ok and restaurant staff margininally better than bar staff . Breakfast was ok although took their sweet time in bringing what I ordered. It was originally given to wrong person. They were super quick with the bill though. Waiter barked at me (felt like it anyway) to sign in correct place . I couldn’t wait to leave next day so got up early to check out. Got to reception and asked to checkout . Two of the female staff started arguing about something presumably in Hindi. Then one stomped off still mumbling. The other then started processing my checkout while having a discussion with another colleague.
