We stayed during a dust storm so that could have something to do with the cleanliness. There was hair in the bathroom floor upon our arrival. The picnic area had lots of trash a debris . Keep in mind it’s next door to a fire station that has to go out sometimes in the middle of the night. The breakfast was ok. Convenient location.

Dust all threw out the room. dirt all over the floor . Stains from towel sheets and blanket. Cleaning lady’s are really loud as they have thin walls and do nothing but complain and gossip . They did throw out our trash from my room they could also have swept all the dirty from the floor and give it a quick mop. Outside there is so much trash and very little parking.

The only reason I gave low ratings was due to the dust storms that affected the area! The staff did tell us there may be dust in the room, but it was more than could have been expected. Even the bathroom towels had dust over them! The coffee maker was inoperable and circuit breaker kept popping!!!

Super thin walls. I couldn’t sleep all night because the room next door had their t.v. On until 6:30 in the morning. Nothing felt clean. O definitely would not recommend.

Go somewhere else if you want a clean place tostay

Dirty outside and inside. Sheets were wrinkled, stained and had crumbs between the sheets. The whole place had a funky smell that was covered with air freshener that didn’t help. They just slapped some cheap paint over a run down place and try to make people think it’s nice. Don’t fall for the pictures online like I did.

Room extremely dirty inside, sand, dust everywhere. Outside the room full of trash due to high winds from earlier in the day, it was what we were told. No one there to clean it up, though. Asked for a different room, was told they are fully booked, which I highly doubted. I never leave reviews, but I have also never had such a bad experience. Thankfully I requested and was given a full refund.

Repeat stay: great, with a couple of caveats

Our second stay at the Atrea in the last 2 or 3 months. Fantastic value. A couple of things to keep in mind if you are planning to stay here: 1: There is a fire station near the front side of the hotel. I would suggest requesting a room on the back side, or making use of a noisemaker (or the AC cranked up) if you wake easily to noise. 2: There was something going on with the TV remote - the channel up/down buttons wouldn't find all the stations. Fortunately, the proprietors left a list of channels near the remote, and once we keyed them in manually, they started to show up in the scan. FYI for the management: the shower head in room 112 is in need of descaling. And the curtain had some mechanical issues, but I suspect that's a result of a design flaw. Will definitely stay here again. Love this hotel.

The hotel was mostly clean, though I noticed a large stain on my sheets that looked like perhaps an old coffee stain? But smelled and seemed clean so I just dealt with it. Like others have said, it is right off the highway so quite loud so I am glad I had earplugs but otherwise a fine stay for an overnight on a road trip.
