Convenient stay for Hoge Veluwe

We stayed for one night on a visit to Arnhem. The hotel is convenient for Arnhem and the National Park the Hoge Veluwe. Our rooms were in need of some refurbishment. Work was already on its way on some of the rooms.

Basic room, clean, everything worked. Quiet area walking distance to a bus that runs frequently to the Arnhem station. No complaints. Nice staff. I would stay again.

Just a one night stay. Hotel is quite dated. It is according to what i expected for what i paid with the only caveat being the very poor lighting in the room. Those ancient TL light bulbs really don’t provide much illumination.

The booking details said tea and coffee facilities in the room but these weren’t available. When we asked at reception they initially resisted but when we showed them the booking details they conceded and gave us a tray of kettle, cups, etc

Wir waren mit zwei Hunden dort. Deswegen waren unsere Ansprüche anders als bei einer normalen Städtereise. Direkt hinter dem Hotel gibt es ein großes Naturschutzgelände. Dort müssen Hunde selbstredend angeleint werden, aber es war so ruhig und friedlich dort, dass wir es sehr genießen konnten. Da wir die Hunde vorher angemeldet hatten, haben wir ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss bekommen, damit die Hunde keine Treppen oder Fahrstühle bewältigen müssen. In der Umgebung selbst gibt es keine Geschäfte, Imbissstuben oder Ähnliches. Aber wir haben uns Fahrräder geliehen ( normal 10€ E-bike 15€/ Tag) damit sind wir in ca. 15/20 Minuten in Arnhem gewesen. Die Räder sind nur mit einem Speichenschloss versehen, was uns für die Innenstadt zu unsicher war. Der Tipp der MA an der Rezeption, dass es in Arnhem 2 kostenlose bewachte Fahrradstationen gibt war hier für uns Gold wert !

Gutes Hotel in der Nähe des Burgers Zoo.

War insgesamt in Ordnung. Kleine Einbußen bei der Sauberkeit in der Dusche und den versprochenen Fön auf dem Zimmer musste man an der Rezeption abholen. Sonst hat aber alles gepasst!

Het was voor de eerste keer sinds de versoepelingen vanwege corona dat we konden reizen en hadden een weekend geboekt (van vrijdagavond tot zondagmorgen). Het was ook voor mij de eerste date met haar op een kamer. Ik keek er dus enorm naar uit. Helaas was de kamer een tegenvaller. De kamer is zoals op de foto te zien is enorm klein voor als je met 2 personen bent. Ook was er geen airco op de kamer en kon er geen raam open om te kunnen verluchten. In slaap geraken met die temperaturen was gewoon onmogelijk. Ik ben opgestaan met enorme hoofdpijn van in die warmte te vertoeven en ook te weinig slaap te hebben gehad. Het verblijf zat er dan ook op voor mij. Initieel wou het hotel geen enkele vorm van terugbetaling doen vanwege de annuleringsvoorwaarden maar na mailcontact heeft men hier op terug gekomen en was het 2de ontbijt toch terugbetaald. Dit hotel is vermoedelijk wel in koudere periodes een aanrader maar zeker niet in de zomer.

Dicht bij Arnhem, goede uitvalsbasis

Dit hotel ligt 5 (auto)minuten van het centrum van Arnhem en dicht bij toeristische hoogtepunten zoals het Kröller-Müller Museum en park De Hoge Veluwe. Zowel het gebouw als de kamers zijn gedateerd, maar de ligging en rust is prima, het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam en het restaurant heeft een prima kaart en oogt relatief modern.
