Worth it

As others have said, you can’t beat the price for the location. The room was very clean. It is right on a busy street and the walls seem thin, but overall we would definitely stay again for the price and walkability to all of downtown.

The best deal in downtown Asheville. The Downtown Inn might not offer all of the amenities that some of the luxury hotels in the area might offer, but it has always been consistently a perfect place to explore downtown without breaking the bank. The new entertainment options for the TVs are a very welcome addition.

Great Location on a budget

The location is on the edge of downtown Asheville, which is great when you want adult beverages without driving. The hotel is older and could use some tlc, but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

Hotel is downtown, surroundings didn’t feel safe. Old building, but comfortable room and the best bed I have had during my month long road trip! It was hard to find a spot of grass for my dog to go to bathroom.

The property is old and looks a bit sketchier than it is but felt safe in my room. Can be very loud late at night with traffic and my room was on the corner near the crosswalks outside so you could hear them chirping. Beds were comfy, nice pillows, room was clean, and the shower had the best water pressure.

Hotel doesnt rent to locals because it seems prostitution is an issue. Rooms are 20 feet from major road, literally, and the crosswalks beep all night. Is it cheap, yep, is it fairly clean, yep, is it a do again, nope.
