Perfect place to stay and close to the Emsphere. The area is lively and close to many things. The breakfast buffet was able to accommodate my gluten free diet. The views from this property are gorgeous.

We stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon, and they were so kind as to put roses on our bed, upgrade us to a higher room, and give us a slice of cake to share. The room was very spacious, luxurious, and clean. The staff was so helpful and spoke English well, which helped with ordering cars to and from the airport, breakfast accommodations, and Thailand recommendations. Also, the hotel was in a great location with easy access for drivers to pick us up and drop us off. Other good things: the pool was huge with a food and drink bar service, and they have an in-house massage and spa. Overall, we highly recommend and would come back again.

Great hotel at reasonable cost.

Carlton was a great place to stay. 10 minute walk in either direction to massive indoor malls. The area felt safe in the evening and there are lots of options for food. Traffic was an issue and delayed the trip from the airport. It took about 50 minutes from BKK on a Friday at noon and cost $30. (US). Public transit is easy from BKK and costs about 1 (US) dollar. If you’re interested in a good cigar lounge, check out the Intercontinental, about a 10 minute drive.

This is by far a top notch 5 Star hotel, from the manager to the staff, to the property itself. Everyone made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We were upgraded to an executive suite, which was perfect. We also upgraded to the club package which was excellent. With the Club benefits you got a breakfast buffet each morning, you got access to the Club Lounge, with free drinks and hors d’ oeuvres every evening, while watching the sunset over Bangkok. Also included was two pieces of free laundry per person, per day. The pool area was amazing. We got to meet people from around the world and made some new friends. Every morning as we walked down the hallway the maid would greet us and engage us in conversation. The doorman and front desk personnel were just as friendly. My wife left $10 in her pants that were getting laundered, and the front desk notified us. It was especially an honor to meet the Manager of the Carlton Hotel and let him know what a great job he and his team had done to make our stay a memorable experience. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a 5 star quality hotel, to book at the Carlton.
