Nice hotel in central Beijing

We stayed at the Renaissance Wangfujing in August 2016. Our room was booked for two adults and two children. Hotel is modern and has a lovely feel about it, but there are some issues. Firstly, we were allocated a room next to the neighbouring construction site, and despite there being minimal noise for what will surely be a skyscraper, there was still noise. The staff at the entrance of the restaurant are downright rude. On the first morning, we walked in, and I asked for a table for 4. The response was, 'sign here'. After signing, nobody showed us to a table, and we only got coffee etc, after asking. The next and final morning, i was asked to 'sign here', and then one of the staff said, 'only two breakfast'. My wife being Chinese then began to converse with the staff in Chinese, and she pointed out that our reservation that included breakfast was made for 2 adults and 2 children. The staff insisted that my wife was wrong, and they would check and then confirm our error. We never saw them again. Which is not the way to treat guests. At checkout, there was no mention of additional costs. The rooms are nice, bar is great, and it's otherwise a nice place. Just a pity that they employ people who show no interest in the customer. Their reason for being....!
