The ibis budget is the definition of a budget hotel. You get a bed, a shower and a toilet, with just enough room to walk around the bed. Not much space for luggage or to hang clothes, no extras like a kettle and coffee/tea. That said it's a good location within 10-15 minute walk to both Belfast Grand Central and Donegall Square. It's comfortable enough if you just need a place to sleep at a relatively cheap price.

It's in an area close to the city centre but there's a lot of building work going on so it was pretty noisy. The room I was in was a bit battered- the tiles around the bathroom were cracked and things didn't look clean but thankfully the bed linen itself was. The staff I encountered were nice. Check in was smooth. The coffee from the machine was ok at ridiculous o'clock. Staff called me a taxi early in the morning. I can't comment on the breakfast as I had to leave before it was served. The main reason my score is poor is because I was close to the floor fire door which was so much in need of oil that the noise of it frequently opening drove me crazy while I tried to get sleep before an early flight. I thought I'd save on airport parking and get a good night's sleep before an early flight- I didn't get much sleep and I definitely wouldn't stay here again.
