Terribly rude staff and unacceptable experience.
When we arrived as a group of three people (each with a separate room booked), we were offered rooms with bunk beds, like in a hostel or a children’s camp. One of the rooms smelled strongly of excrement — literally unbearable.
We immediately went to the reception, but the staff (one with the last name Lee, the other named Henry) were extremely rude. When we asked to be given the type of room we had booked and paid for (a room with a single bed), we were told to cancel the reservation and go wherever we wanted — at 10 p.m., after a long flight.
At first we were told there were no other rooms available. Later, they gave us one proper room, and we overheard them discussing calling security to remove us. Eventually, two rooms were provided, but one room still had bunk beds (again, like a children’s camp) and was only changed the next day.
This was an awful experience. I have never encountered such disrespectful behavior from hotel staff. I sincerely hope people like this will not continue working in the service industry.
