I absolutely loved it here! Nice, clean room in a beautiful building and the location could not be any better. The only thing to note is that the parking was a bit far away and required us to get a parking pass from the front desk. Not a big deal for us but worth noting!

Perfect Salem stop

The check-in / check-out process was very quick and easy through text messages or at the counter. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and had appropriate amenities. Location was right in town, perfect for popping in and out as needed. Parking was provided. Breakfast was provided by scheduling a time the evening before through a link sent via text message. Higher end of my per night price range, but would recommend!

I wish they had on site parking but you can’t create new land in downtown Salem. We would stay here again. The room and bed was much, much better than I would have ever expected. The breakfast was amazing. We loved it.

Great location and accommodations

The Salem Inn was in an excellent location to the Witch House and Essex Street where all the shops are. We looked forward to the free happy hour everyday at 4:30. The room was clean and very big. Will stay again if I go back to visit Salem.

Outdated & Uncomfortable Stay

Communication from this property just before check-in was over bearing. Breakfast selections had to made the day before in addition to the time we planned to eat. We had to text the front desk each morning we left in order to get maid service. During our 3 day stay not one manager/supervisor bothered to introduce themselves. Only staff we met were the waiters at breakfast. The room was clean but very outdated. The mattress was old, very lumpy and in need of replacement. The decor was stark. One small picture hung on the bedroom walls. There were no shades to block the morning Sun behind very simple, old pocket rod curtains. The doors between the bathroom and BR squeaked so loudly they would wake a person in the night if moved. This is an easy fix with WD40…sloppy maintenance! Sadly, this was not worth $300+ per night.

Staff was wonderful. We needed a rollaway, no problem. Help with directions, they got you. Want suggestions, yup helped there too. Breakfast was wonderful and we got lucky with parking. They have it available at a lot down the street, but I got a spot right out front. Wonderful stay.
