I expected more from a property that I took to be first class. I use a face cloth or wash cloth. This hotel did not provide any. Their stated policy is to only replenish supplies after three nights. I was alone and was provided only one small bar of soap to last the three nights and mornings after. If someone had been with me in the room, the soap would have been used up before the room servicing.
I also took issue with their elevator (lift) operating system. It’s security overkill, unless Brisbane has an extremely high crime rate, which I doubt. There are no buttons inside the car. You swipe your room key on a panel in the hallway, and the system tells you what floors you have access to. You choose which floor you’re going to and a car number is assigned to you. You can only get where you’re going by taking the assigned car. Think about that. If you’re traveling with family or colleagues, you can’t go meet them in their room if they’re on a different floor. Not unless first they give you one of their room cards and second you take two elevator rides to get there — one using your card to get to the lobby and the second using their card to go to their floor.
