I have to say that I am not one to leave bad reviews, but sometimes future renters need to be warned before booking a property. This apartment in Budapest was in a great location within the city, but unfortunately, that is where the positives ended. The property itself left a lot to be desired. The apartment furniture was very cheap IKEA-style furniture. While the beds were comfortable enough, the sheets appeared dirty, almost as if they had never been changed from the previous renters. The comforter also smelled as though it had not been properly cleaned. The bathroom was poorly designed and lacked basic functionality. There were no racks or hooks to hang towels, and the towels provided were old, thin, and cheap. The shower had nowhere to place shampoo or soap, forcing you to keep everything on the floor. On top of that, they only provided two rolls of toilet paper for an entire week’s stay. The kitchen was equally disappointing. The refrigerator was not working properly, and it took until the third day for management to replace it. What made it worse was that they pulled another refrigerator out of a locked closet, making it seem like this was an ongoing issue they already knew about. The kitchen also lacked proper cooking equipment, and most items looked as though they had been picked up from a thrift store.Overall, this apartment was significantly overpriced for what was offered. In reality, we paid for the location, not the quality of the accommodations.
