We recently stayed at the Anantara New York Palace Hotel in Budapest for my husband’s birthday celebrations and to enjoy the Christmas markets. We had an absolutely wonderful three-night stay and I’m happy to give them a full five stars. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with a cozy, warming interior that made us feel right at home. Every member of the staff was incredibly friendly, supportive, and helpful, which really added to the experience. One of the biggest perks was being able to visit the famous New York Café right there in the hotel without having to queue up. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool and spa area, so I can’t comment on that, but our room was perfect for us - spacious and comfortable. The location is also fantastic, with so many places to visit within a short walk, so we could enjoy the beautiful views and local sights just by strolling around. Overall, it was a memorable stay and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Budapest.

The room was nice. The staff is what let down the place. One day I sat in the lobby for more than an hour, not one person came in to ask if I needed food or drinks. We put do not disturb on the door, yet at 5am housekeeping was ringing the bell. Totally baffled by that. Do not disturb means do not disturb. On the day we were checking out bell boy helped get the suitcase out but then just left us on the street. I had tips in my pocket ready to go but seeing we had to load our own suitcases into the taxi, and he wasn’t anywhere to be seen, he really did miss out on making some tip. New York cafe is over rated. Very expensive and value wasn’t there. But overall, staff is what let down this place.

I had high expectations for this property, but our stay was disappointing. At check-in, I was told no upgrades were available despite my status and online availability showing otherwise. The first room had a broken bathtub covered with a towel, a barely functioning shower, and non-working air conditioning. After reporting these issues, we were moved to an “upgraded” room, which unfortunately was also substandard, with dusty carpet, cobwebs, mismatched faucet knobs, and an entirely obstructed window view due to a plywood panel. In both rooms, the air conditioning did not work even when the heat was turned down to the lowest setting. We had to open the windows and let the cold winter air in for comfort. I want to acknowledge that the front desk supervisor did her best to improve our experience, and I genuinely appreciated her effort. However, the restaurant service further diminished our stay. Our servers displayed noticeable attitude and did not seem interested in providing attentive or welcoming service. Overall, the experience fell far below the standards expected of a luxury hotel.

The best Eggs Benedict ever. You must try them. The staff were friendly and kind, and the room was beautiful. I recommend this luxury hotel for those who like to stay, sleep well, eat, and drink deliciously, and are within walking distance of landmarks.

Anantara New York Palace is a true luxury hotel by all means . The service is super and the room is spacious, comfortable and the bathroom is so luxurious. It worth every penny of it! The breakfast buffet is at the famous New York Cafe and the selection of food was great! Full stomach every day :)

The hotel and the adjacent New York Cafe were architecturally magnificent! The room and spa amenities were top notch. The staff members were all helpful. The location was convenient and walkable to restaurants and landmarks. Only negative comment is that the elevators needed a sweep on a regular basis. Getting our breakfast orders were slow at times. . Otherwise, everything was great. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights prior to boarding our river cruise. This hotel is very beautiful. Our room was clean,spacious and very comfortable. The evening turndown was unexpected😁. We had breakfast in the breakfast room. Don't ask me what I had - I was too busy taking in the most beautiful baroque architecture and decorations! The only negative was that we waited for over 10 minutes in the rather quiet sitting area for a waiter to take our drinks order and ended up walking out. A waiter came through a number of times but never saw us when we waved.
