Our room was great, as it had obviously recently been renovated. The rest of the hotel was quite poor. The breakfast wasn’t great. Cold food and limited option. Considering the Cafe that the hotel had open to the public displayed really good quality food, the food provided in the B&B was substandard in my opinion. However, the room was great, and the location was spot on.

A fabulous hotel in a convenient location, close to shops, attractions and Budapest's wonderful transport system. Staff were kind, helpful and welcoming. The facilities were excellent.

Good location and decent enough breakfast. Staff were friendly. Disappointed that our room was not cleaned & bed made despite the fact we we put sightseeing from just after 11am until after 6pm! We had to go to reception to ask for a set of clean towels. Hotel could do with a refurbishment- looking a bit tired. Hairdryer in bathroom was very heavy & uncomfortable to use. Not quite up to the standard of what I expect from a 4star hotel.

What a charming hotel

We stayed here with our 10-year-old grandson for a city break. They upgraded us to a suite, which was very spacious and made life a lot easier for us. Thank you. The service was excellent from the reception through to the bar staff and the waiters. All were pleasant and friendly. I guess some would say the hotel is 'dated' but I prefer to think of it as classical, a step back in time. I would certainly stay here again.

We arrived at approximately 12 pm from the cruise ship Scenic. The room was ready but we were required to pay an early check in if we wanted to use the room or wait in the lobby until 3 pm. The room was ready why not advise you can go up now if you wish. The bathroom had hair particles on the floor in the corner. I woke up tp find a spider in my shoe which I disposed of and left on a note pad on the bedside table. We intended to dine in for the two nights stay but there was no menu in the room to look at, so I had to take a photo of the downstairs menu so we could decide what was available. No coffee satchels in the room only tea. The dark curtain did not close to block out the afternoon sunlight. It was only for decoration to cover the corner of the room. Why is there for ? it does not move. Most disappointing John

This is the singular most unfriendly hotel staff we have encountered in decades of travel. The check in counter especially. I never write a review unless it’s warranted. Almost to the point they were downright mean and noticed it with other hotel clientele. Terrible. Last thing you want to encounter after long flights and hours of travel. Not one friendly face.
