Just a beautiful hotel. It’s enormous but golf carts are at the ready to move you around the property anytime and although you can’t swim in the ocean at this particular hotel, free daily shuttles are available to transport to and from its nearby sister hotels where the ocean is safe and accessible. It was an accidental reservation and ended up being the best “oopsie” I’ve ever made. Traveled alone with my three children and felt safe at all times.

This is an awesome resort! My wife and I have stayed here 4 years in a row and we're looking forward to our next visit. All of the restaurants are excellent, but without a doubt our favorite restaurant is Tazuna.

I loved the food options and the ability to get transportation from the room to our destination on the resort. We also had access to the other two properties. Cons: Beds were uncomfortable, air condition did not work in the room, staff was not friendly- mostly the women.

Honest review: The Pueblo Bonita Sunset resort is a moderate 3 star resort. We stayed at the second to top level suite that was 1000+ square foot with two queens and I have to say the best thing was the room and the view. The staff was condescending and rude especially the front desk and dine in room service. Around the main pool we waited for more than 40 min to get one drink. It's not an unlucky experience we came across, it's just a large resort that deals will mass quantity which hinders with quality because they do not have the staff to facilitate the numbers. The staff is overwhelmed of that fact which hinders with quality of service. There were a few things that seemed intentional on the resorts part which we did not like at all such as extremely watered down drinks. Day after day mojito after mojito we just got juice mix. Another aspect that was disappointing is that there were not enough umbrellas at the pools to go around. I mean there were plenty but they were all stationed in the "Elite" level which you had to pay for extra even though you paid for the all inclusive. OHH ya it's a family friendly facility but kids are not allowed to the steak house and the other top two restaurants in the resort. There are hidden fees everywhere also. You have to wear a wrist band and if you lose it for what ever reason its $150.00 charge each, even with kids. All inclusive but you have to pay more for certain foods and drinks and even entry to some restaurants. All in all 3 star.

We had an all inclusive week, but tipping was still optional for all meals. Our first morning we went to La Nao for Sunday brunch. I wanted to be kind and tip our server 50 pesos on the tablet he presented to me, but the waiter tricked me into tipping 50 USD as he changed the currency quickly before I wrote in 50. An hour later I checked the resort app and noticed I was charged $50. We immediately went to the restaurant, spoke with the restaurant manager AND server who admitted he was surprised I tipped that much. The manager said that she would reverse the charge, and when I still offered to tip the 50 pesos, she refused to accept it due to the inconvenience and initial dishonesty. The charges were not reversed for 48hrs on our account, so we then went to the front desk and they had us sign some papers and assured us they would reverse the charges. When we checked out, they presented the final bill WITHOUT the $50 charge, confirmed verbally that it was removed. Then when we got home, I checked my credit card statement and they added the $50 again! I called and spoke w/the mgr and he said that I had signed the bill and agreed to pay and refused to reverse the charge. This place has super dishonest waiters and managers and billing. DO NOT TIP unless in cash. I can't believe how dishonest these people are. Also rooms are a little run down, AC did not work well, towels were old and pools often did not have any clean towels. Sky pool often closed for events. AVOID THIS PlACE!

Limited dining/food options unless you make reservations or pay for up charges on the menu items. We were berated by the ladies in pink shirts for “presentations”. We told them multiple times we did not want to attend the breakfast but they said if we came, we could go on a sunset cruise for free. We agreed but then was told each couple had to pay $20 to “reserve your spot on the cruise” and you would get the money back if you did not go. They made our friends pay an extra $20 because they were under 30 years old. The ladies then argued with us about getting our money back because we didn’t go to breakfast. Our room is AWFUL. On arrival to the resort we were told our room would be ready at 3pm. We went to eat and returned at 415pm to get in our room and they were still cleaning it. It smelled awful - like dirty mop water. We asked for them to come back and mop again the next day because the smell still had not faded. The shower handle broke off on day two - they came to “fix” it the next morning and it was still broken. The handle would spin all the way around without turning off. After they came to repair the shower they left the floor and shower an absolute disaster. Chipped plastic all over the floor and black foot prints everywhere. We killed SEVEN huge spiders in our 4 night stay; three in one day. The good parts: sky pool service and food was great! We loved Omar and Jorge!

El lugar es hermosos pero cuando llegamos fueron súper racistas con nosotros, a todos los americanos que eran de tés de piel clara los trataban súper bien y a nosotros nos trataron súper mal. El check-in es a las 4:00 pm y mi habitación me la entregaron hasta las 6:30 pm; después de que nos entregaron la habitación quisimos ir a comer a uno de los restaurantes pero resulta que no pudimos comer nada ya que el personal de recepción no activó nuestras tarjetas, también me querían prohibir el ir a ciertos restaurantes a pesar de que pague “ all inclusive ” de igual manera nos querían prohibir otros servicios a pesar de que si estaban incluidos en nuestro paquete, al final de un muy mal sabor de boca una persona de recepción nos activó nuestras tarjetas y nos comentó que en realidad si podíamos ir a todos los restaurantes y claramente todo lo que nos había dicho el otro personal era incorrecto. En conclusión el lugar es hermosos pero deberían de tener alguna capacitación para su personal en el cual deberían de enfocarse en que deben de tratar a todas las personas por igual, no importa de dónde vengan o qué idioma hablen, al fin de cuenta todos pagamos por un servicio y supongo que muchas personas vamos para descansar de los problemas no para tener más.
