This was our 9th trip to Cairns and the first time staying at the Cairns Plaza Hotel, which is by far out favourite place to stay now. It is located in a quieter end of the esplanade which we really enjoyed but still well within walking distance of downtown Cairns. The hotel was very clean, staff were exceptionally helpful, and the room was comfortable and very spacious.

I love the location, right on the Esplanade and a short walk to the CBD with numerous dining options. The view over the harbour is amazing and there is plenty of on site parking. The rooms are spacious with small balconies

Ideal location on the Esplanade in Cairns, sea view amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Easy parking and close enough to walk to numerous dining options and attractions. Apartment clean and well furnished. Only a couple of things needed to improve our stay: air conditioning was a bit noisy sometimes at night. An ottoman would been useful in the lounge instead of the large coffee table. Would recommend this hotel to others!

The hotel has been newly refurbished. It is in a great location opposite the harbour, walking distance to shops and restaurants but in the quiet end of town. Staff are very friendly. We'd stay there again.

We enjoyed the location - handy to boardwalk, Muddy’s cafe and lagoon nearby. The room was very big and the bathroom very small which had a skin breaking doorstop positioned next to the WC. The bed was very comfy and aircon worked well

Clean central family friendly

Staff very friendly, helped us check in early. Hotel basic but very clean and centrally located opposite the playground and near multiple restaurants and the aquarium. Also only 10 min from airport. Good family stay location in central Cairns, would stay again in transit for a few nights

My only criticism is the noise you can hear from the other rooms directly above and either side. Our first night it sounded like the people in the room on one side of us were right outside our door. It was that loud.

"Mutton dressed up as lamb". Older hotel in good location. Cheap reno furniture, fully priced, no hassles in or out. Clean and recently painted? Clearly more of a tourist family place, not competitive with major chains adjacent which are same price. Noisy neighbour late at night, door slamming in narrow corridor.

A short, 2 night stay to recover from a Brisbane to Cairns Roadtrip prior to flying home to the UK. Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to decent restaurants, cairns central train station, beach, splash parks etc. would recommend.
