⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Great stay at Seadust Hotel in Cancun! I loved the very cool concept of the hotel being designed like a cruise ship — such a fun and unique idea. The food was excellent (Italian restaurant is a gem) and the amenities were great. The only thing, in my personal opinion, is that the rooms—especially the bathrooms—could use some updating. Other than that, the stay was wonderful, and I would definitely go back.

Room No exhaust in the bathroom. No air conditioner in the room. We compldd ad knee a few times about how hot it was in the room and we were told to give it time to cool however it never got cooler so they ended up bringing a portable ac which we used for our entire vacation. They did not take reservations at the restaurants and wait time for dinner was almost 2 hours so ended up having dinner after 10:00 pm one night. Hostess at Big Ben’s restaurant was extremely rude. One night we were waiting to have dinner and we were told there was 2 families before us, she said we needed to wait and she would come find us when it was our turn. She did not come find us and ended up letting 5 families in the restaurant before we complained. Italian restaurant is not good at all.
Portable ac since ac in the room did not work during our entire stay.

The room was extremely neglected cracks on the floor extremely dated. Definitely not what the picture showed on Expedia. The fridge didn’t close. Many of the staff were not friendly or accommodating definitely not worth the price tag. I give it two stars because the kids had a really good time and the entertainment was good but overall the room is terrible. The fuse keeps blowing and the air conditioner is not working well the door of our balcony was broken. I booked a family suite and they charged me $800 more for extra person fees when the room fits five so explain that! I would not recommend!

Cons-We picked this resort seeing that it had an adults only area. Upon arrival they had changed this area to the “privileged” area and was not accessible to those who didn’t want to spend the money “ to join”. Very disappointed there was no notification of this prior to arrival. Pools were super cold. No activities for adults and teenagers. Breakfast buffet was good food but no service. Had to get our own coffee. Pros- Food was good. Ocean was beautiful and warm. Servers at the beach and pool were good.

The room was very outdated and the air conditioner was not working properly for two days and I had trouble getting my mini fridge filled on the first day. They charge you for room service also. If you weren’t a exclusive member they act like you’re not important. The wait time for the restaurants where very long I think reservations would of been a better options.

So many things were disappointing. The food at the à la cartes was medicore, clearly rotating the buffet. The food did make my whole family sick, including my 18 month old. She then puked on a blanket to which the resort tried to charge us 2500 pesos for. The kids waterslides were broken the first day we arrived. What they don’t tell you is they have these kids water slides but adults can’t go on them, so good luck sending a 2 year old up a slippery flight of stairs. The mini golf was clearly not working for a long time, same with the zip line. The bbq food was the same thing everyday, hot dogs and burgers with fries. They turned the ac off for the last few nights of our stay which was horrible.

The room was large, bright, and comfortable. However, housekeeping was poor and inconsistent. The hotel feels worn out and clearly needs renovation. The food was tasty and there was a decent selection, but it was the same every day and became repetitive. There were no suitable food options for toddlers. There was a coffee shop on the property, and the coffee was very good. The pools were clean, but very cold and not heated. The water park was good and perfect for kids. The hotel territory is quite small. The sea was clean. The beach was also clean, but there were not enough sun loungers. The evening shows were good, and the animation team did a great job trying to keep guests entertained throughout the day — definitely a plus.
