The wife and I wanted to be close to The Battery and Old Town for our 4 day mini-vacation. Holiday Inn Riverview was perfect, just less than 10 minutes away. The view of the river and harbor from our 9th floor room was awesome!! The staff was so courteous and helpful. The restaurant at the top floor was wonderful and again, the view was fantastic. The hotel was clean and everything in order. It was also quiet. The bed was comfy with extra pillows. The ONLY complaint I could have was the elevator floors needed vacuuming but that is such a minor thing. The Holiday Inn Riverview was outstanding and the next time we stay in Charleston, we’ll be back again.

Great location just across the bridge from Charleston, and easy driving to Folly Beach, West Ashley, North Charleston. They have an hourly shuttle that drops off downtown Charleston so you don't have to deal with city parking or parking fees. Rooms are basic, but clean and quiet. We did not opt for a room with a view; after swinging by the restaurant before we left and seeing the view from there, we may opt for a room with a view next time. Staff are friendly. Reasonable value for the price compared with city accomodations!

It was an ok hotel, outdated, but price was ok

The hotel was nice from the outside and easy to get to. The view was great. The air conditioning leaked the whole time and made my floor wet so that must be why the room Smelled musty. There was a piece of the bottom wall that had fallen off in the bathroom too. The restaurant and breakfast was phenomenal. The service there was also great! The service from front desk was amazing.
