We ordered room service. At some point during the room being cleaned, the ketchup bottle was evidently dropped and broken. We weren't notified of this, we discovered it when my daughter cut her foot on a piece of glass that was left behind. Upon closer inspection, I found several large pieces of glass in the carpet, some an inch long, as well as ketchup on the base board and floor near where the glass was found. I gathered at least six pieces of glass in a bowl and took them to the front desk and explained the situation. I asked that the carpet be vacuumed and mentioned the ketchup. We went back out and when we returned the ketchup was still present and I still saw glass specks in the carpet. They sent a housekeeper, who stood in our room and called someone on her phone, spoke to them in Spanish thinking we wouldn't understand and told them they didn't see any glass (I'd already picked up the big pieces). She vacuumed and left the room, ketchup still on the baseboards. Over the course of the weekend I spoke with at least 6 members of staff including a manager and it seems that saying sorry and vacuuming the carpet was enough for them to consider the matter resolved when my daughter was injured. We were charged full price for our reservation, and then charged additional for parking despite it being included in the reservation on Expedia. So my daughter was injured due to staff neglegence and we were overcharged $150, which I'll now have to fight to get back. Won't be back.
