Spent one evening at the Congress so I can walk to work for an early meeting the following day. There was no wait in line upon check-in and the staff moved quickly. I had my room key within 3 minutes. The elevators were fast surprisingly since it’s a large hotel. The room was very spacious and clean, gives you that first apartment feeling due to the history of the building. Hotel next to plenty stores and restaurants within walking distance. I’m from Chicago so I can go on & on about the perks of the location. Just book!

The room was extremely hot, AC could not be adjusted, when we called to the front desk the solution was a stand up fan which hardly helped. The windows were open in the hallways even though it was 100+ and humid outside, they could not be closed, we tried. This caused for a humid and musty hallway which carried into our room. 0 ice machines work at this place, the only solution is the bar. We even called the ice company on their behalf for a repair. Check out is not until 12, however we were woken up at 9:30am by housekeeping, we don’t sleep in late unless on vacation and this was a huge inconvenience, they then came back an hour later again to see if we were out. We have stayed here before and had good experiences, hence the return trip. The price we paid for this hotel was $270 and we absolutely will not be back, relaxing on vacay in our hotel was no where in sight. The only good thing about the hotel for us this trip, was location.
