This was our first stay at the Sofitel Chicago and we had a great experience. The customer service provided by the front desk, housekeeping, and at Le Bar was excellent. It was also steps from many restaurants and shopping.

The Sofitel is a great hotel. We had a high floor and the view was captivating.the room was very clean, the staff were generally very helpful. The bellman was very friendly and courteous. Turn down service with water and chocolate was grand ( though, given its luxury status was expected). The concierge was very helpful as we departed - he handled a currency matter for me. Except for a snafu at time of arrival, we everything was as expected. But for the arrival snafu, the rating would have been 5 stars. Maybe it's a sign of the changing times, as Sofitel is a luxury brand, it creates certain expectations.While the expectations were generally met, there was no "wow" factor attached to the delivery of those expectations.
