No double-glazed windows so I couldn't sleep due to overground metro passing by the hotel all night long. All rooms facing the other way were occupied

First time in Chicago and this hotel was in the PERFECT location. Located by so many east transit options, Chicago landmarks and easy dinning/ stores for convenience. The hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and easily accessible for any needs. This will be my go to for any Chicago stays in the future :)

The area is quiet with easy parking, which is nice but not if youre looking for nightlife or lots of restaurant choices. Parks close though. Price was very affordable but not worth it for the condition of room. Awful stale smell. The loveseat was so old and dirty that I wouldn’t have let my dog lay on it. Bathroom door wouldn’t stay shut. The rest of the room was clean but very dated. Front desk staff was friendly. The room served its purpose for the very quick stay to just sleep but would not stay more than one night for the smell alone.

Stay elsewhere unless you’re on a budget.

Upgrading to a suite was only $35 at checkin. However this gave us a bit more space and a completely collapsed couch that was sagging almost to the carpet. Our king bed mattress was worn out and I felt like I was going to roll onto the floor at times. Office chair was tired and stained. The common areas were fine but our rooms were in desperate need of refurbishment.
Worn out couch needs to be replaced.
This office chair was gross.
