A private residence on the edge of the Mediterranean
There’s a unique quality of light in Cala Morell that photographers and architects have long sought: the way it brushes the white stone at sunset and turns the sea to burnished copper in the evening. Villa Cala Morell was built for exactly this. Set on a cliffside on Menorca’s unspoiled northwest coast, this house truly deserves the word retreat.
THE SPACE
Set on a private 1,000 m² plot, the villa accommodates up to nine guests in five bedrooms—four doubles and one single—with four bathrooms. Built in 2008 and designed for generous, light-filled living, the architecture blends with the landscape: high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows on every side, and natural cross-ventilation that brings the sea breeze indoors.
The upper floor is almost entirely devoted to the main suite, a spacious room with a private terrace, small lounge, and uninterrupted sea views. Downstairs, four bedrooms are arranged for comfort: one double with an en-suite bathroom, two rooms with twin beds, a large bathroom with double sinks, and a single room with its own bathroom, a layout ideal for families.
Outdoors, a private pool anchors the terraces, facing north and south to guarantee sun or shade throughout the day. Evenings gather on the west terrace, where sunsets over the Mediterranean are worth planning your day around.

The villa is cooled entirely by natural means; the architecture is designed for airflow, and Cala Morell’s coastal breezes are constant and reliable all summer. Each room has fans for extra comfort. There is no air conditioning.
