The hotel is under some major renovation and feels very understaffed. We booked the highest category room and received a nice corner room with pretty views but much smaller than what a 480 sq ft room should feel like. We made a reservation for the Ellie for dinner but found out that it was closed for construction (which was I did not know about). Had breakfast before checking out. Although the food was fine, our server/service was extremely slow. There was only one guy working the valet and we had to wait a long while for the key to our vehicle (even though it was already pulled up at the curb). While we were waiting for our car key, another couple that was waiting asked me how breakfast was onsite. I honestly told her that the food was fine but the service was slow. Her response was, “we ate here for dinner last night. The service was very slow and the food was not good.”
