Was told by host 1 hour before check in, no rooms were available, without looking, asked host if I can be notified if room becomes available before hour, she answered no and began discussion shouldn’t expect available until 3pm at 2pm. While waiting in car saw two couples go in and returned to car and picked up bags go back in, the couples were White, I asked one if they were able to check in, they said yes, this was 5 - 6 minutes after I left the same host. So as the shift changed for host, I brought to attention, 2 White couples were able to check in before 3pm, but I being Black wasn’t able to check in and couldn’t be contacted like serval other hotels have done during my travels, at least make an effort to look if a room was available. I expressed the execution and behavior was rude and discriminatory. Then assigned a room under construction. Would not recommend this hotel, especially poorly treated and assigned room under construction, of course the room was paid in full, no refund. Don’t recommend.

Completely Unprofessional Manager - No Options

Worst check-in experience ever. Arrived at 6pm. Went into room and it only had a very thin see-through shade covering the entire window, no curtains or privacy shade. We called front desk and asked to change rooms as we needed something more than a see-through window shade. We were told they were fully booked and no other rooms were available. I asked if a privacy shade could be added. I was told they could put in a work-order but it would not be fixed today, and we were only staying for one night. I understood they were fully booked but since it was only 6pm had every room been checked into already since this room did not have what was advertised and needed? We were told since we had already gone into the room it was contaminated and we could not change rooms since they could not give that room to anyone else now. I'm not sure how you can see what's wrong with a room without going in? We were told the only other option was to not stay there and request a refund. Then try to find a room on a Saturday night at another hotel with no notice, and during a busy holiday weekend. While discussing my frustration with the manager he was rude and offered no help. He accused me of calling him a name in front of the front desk lady. Which the front desk lady had to tell him I never did. Then he tried to apologize for falsely accusing me of it. All of this at the front desk check-in area. Completely unprofessional. WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. DO NO RECOMMEND.
