Twin Oaks Cottage - Fitzroy Falls
Situated on a 140 acre family farm, the north facing Twin Oaks Cottage is the original home of the property - a self contained 2 bedroom cottage with sun drenched views over the lush pastures of the Southern Highlands. The cottage is situated on our family farm where we live. The cottage is in our house yard adjacent to the main house. While the two buildings are close to each other, we have minimal interaction. We will occasionally pass by the cottage on our way to the sheds but mostly we won’t interact if you chose it that way.
There is a full kitchen, dining table and living room with a gas combustion heater. There is a main bedroom with a queen bed off the living area and the second bedroom has a bed bunk (2 single beds) and a queen bed in the same room. The cottage has 1 bathroom (with a shower) and separate toilet. (A fully assembled cot, highchair and large baby bath are available for your convenience).
Twin Oaks Cottage is accommodation in a rural setting ideally suited for families. If you want to experience animals you're welcome to watch the lambs, fetch the eggs, and feed the chickens. There's a cubby house, sandpit and swings for children. Stroll the paddocks or go for a family bike ride together into the national park along fire trails. The tennis court faces into the paddock for a great afternoon match.
We are a pet friendly farm. We know how special it is to travel away with your pets. We have a very friendly puppy Labrador who will be also playing in the yard we both share.
For lovers or nature, go for bushwalks out to Fitzroy Falls, ride your mountain bikes or four wheel drive along fire trails through the picturesque Meryla State Forest to explore waterfalls big and small or find the grotto. Turn left out of the gate and you're so close.
