This hotel seemed to have been advertised as a hotel but it’s really just a student hostel with some rooms let out for tourists. Not the most ideal place to stay in for tourists unless you want to be surrounded by undergraduates. I could always hear the footsteps of other guests and undergraduates around. The rooms don’t get made up unless specifically requested with the reception. The staff are otherwise quite helpful and friendly. The rooftop gym is very well equipped with an excellent view of the beautiful Florence city.

Social Hub Florence

Nice hotel located circa 20-30 minute walk from the Duomo. Comfy bed and modern bathroom. Views from rooftop bar were great but the pool wasn’t in use during our visit. The gym was located on the top floor too so same view.

This hotel has a great concept of turning abandoned buildings and turning them into hotel rooms. They are fun and comfortable settings. Loved it here. We will definitely stay here again and wherever we travel. The staff were amazing.

Don’t let the map “deceive” you. The Social Hub is just a short walk away from the very heart of Florence. Moreover, it is easily accessible from the airport with tram service T2 stopping right in front of the building. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and just as lively as one would expect looking at the modern decor. Chairs at the front desk has been nothing but incredible. Thank you for welcoming all inquiries with a great broad smile & keep up the great work. The gym and the pool bar offer stunning views of the city and a great relaxing spot after a long day of sightseeing and the rooms are spotlessly clean and rather comfortable despite how compact they may look in the photos. Could not recommend it more, unless you are intend on experiencing a more classic Tuscan property during your stay.

Really hipster hotel with great staff and decor. The restaurant had good breakfast and the rooftop bar had one of the best views in the city. The one complaint we had was the bed was very uncomfortable. Would stay again.

Very trendy vibe/atmosphere, but missing hotel amenities. Checked ourselves in on an iPad while the girl working there watched. Bed was extremely firm. I like a firm mattress, but this bed was hard. Plug-ins were located on the bed frame, so had to pull the bed out from the wall to access plug on one side, which made the headboard in the way of the bathroom door closing. No luggage rack, furniture was too small to hold more than one small carry-on suitcase, so second person had to use the floor. Bathroom had no fan for shower steam, so after two people showered the whole room was damp. The lighting in the bathroom was terrible for applying makeup. No flat surfaces in the bathroom (except for a tiny shelf over the sink) to hold makeup bags/toiletries/toothbrush etc. so had to put bags on top of the closed toilet seat. Breakfast buffet had great selections.

Everything was great in the beginning and then in the end I left truly disappointed. I woke up the morning I had to leave with bed bug bites on my arm and back. I told the staff member at the front desk and all she said was I’m sorry. Today is my birthday and now I have these embarrassing bites on my arm and back. I would not be staying here. Also, no one ever came to clean the room while we stayed there which is probably why they had this issue in the room.
