Wonderful beach - White sands and clear water!!

Loved the ocean view from our room but the room was a bit of tight squeeze even for just the two of us. Pools were refreshing but the grotto pool was almost too cold to enjoy so it made the heated pool crowded at times. Was surprised they didn’t have poolside wait staff for drinks but the bartenders were great…especially Stephanie and Laura. The swim up Grotto needs an actual swim up area that doesn’t require going thru the waterfall. Also, was surprised that everything shuts down by 10p each night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the beach is super clean and relaxing. Enjoyed live music at the beach bar every night.

I personally felt for price the room wasn’t up to date. The tv would randomly shut off. The flooring wasn’t cut properly to fit the room there was gap around the air conditioner. The bathroom door was scraped up? And the towels were small and hard as a rock. But the biggest thing was the stains on the blanket and towels! The access to the beach was amazing but the chairs and umbrellas took up all the room and then there was volleyball nets taking up the back areas… where are the families supposed to go? But overall we had a good vacation.

We had a great stay at the Island Resort. It was beautiful and everything was a short walk away. So close to the beach with a beautiful view from our balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our only issues were that one of the elevators was always broken so the wait for an elevator was long at times, and the parking wasn’t great. Once you got a spot you didn’t want to leave it. But overall a great stay!

Nice overall, but cold room

Other than my room, the hotel was really nice. The conference rooms were comfortable. The pool areas and beach were beautiful. My room was just ok. I could see a gap at the bottom of the door. Fortunately, I didn't see any bugs entering the room. There was a stain on one of the towels. I was cold every night, though. I'm from the desert, so I was not happy that the heat could not be turned up past 75 degrees.

The Island Resort, Look at this review!!!

I highly recommend The Island Resort. Plenty for adults and children to here as well as within walking distance. Restaurants, an awesome pier with great dolphin views. Theres the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park within walking distance too. Tf you plan a trip in the busy time of summer then you will love this place. No need to get out in traffic. Plenty to do without driving anywhere. Check it out yourself, look what next door. Oh and the beach. WOW I cant tell you how beautiful the water is. And the white sand. And if you have young kids, they will love the mermaid in the pool here. Top destination for cost as well as convenience.

Great property. Older but updated and very clean. The staff were professional and pleasant. The room was clean and view of the Gulf was amazing! Ate breakfast at the restaurant and the food was fresh and tasty. Location was wonderful too. Would stay there again. Only negative was the loud AC on the balcony.

The Island was great! Everything you needed was accessible with walking distance. The staff were friendly! The rooms were simple and clean! The beach was beautiful. I do wish that the beach chairs and umbrellas were free for hotel guests. Otherwise no complaints.
