Arriving in Rome

The Leonardo da Vinci International Airport, also known as the Fiumicino airport, is the area's primary airport, serving both international and domestic flights. Pastine International Airport, also known as the Ciampino airport, is located less than 8 miles southeast of the city centre. The Weather in Rome

Rome's weather can be very cold in the winter months, with temperatures as low as 2°C. Summertime temperatures can soar as high as 32°C. Spring and fall are the best months to visit Rome, but you should still pack clothing that you can layer so that you're ready for any type of weather. During the colder winter months, be sure to pack a heavy jacket to keep you warm in the cool morning air.
