We had a wonderful time in Galveston. The hotel was at a great location right across from the beach and close to lots of stores and restaurants. We loved the room and the balcony, but i wish we'd gotten a room facing west to watch the sunsets in the evening. The breakfast wasnt great. But everything else about our stay was very nice.

The Quality Inn will be our go to place to stay when in Galveston. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful with lots of variety. The location was perfect for all of the activities that we planned. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful.

the indoor pool was freezing and we were unable to swim in it. they said the heater was broken. it was so cold it hurt. they let us swim in the pool at the neighboring hotel. the walk across was long and the grounds outside were filthy. inside smelled musky and damp. hard to be in your room cause it smelled so bad. not a good experience with our daughter and grandchildren, 3 and 7. drove 7 hours to get there. wont stay there again.

Love the fact that it has free parking, a balcony, and walkable to McDonalds. Wish it had an outdoor pool but not a factor. Have stayed here many times and like the price.

Overall, the hotel offers very good value for its location and service. The day staff was EXCELLENT and did their best to make sure we were able to check in early, receive anti slip mats, and get a room with a wonderful seaside view! The breakfast was also plentiful and offered a wide variety of options. I would have given the hotel 5 stars but our card key kept dying and the night staff male attendant blamed us for the problem. I tried keeping the card away from my phone, wallet, and other credit cards and it still died and won’t open my room door! The elevator was also slow and got stuck on a few occasions but you can’t have it all. I would stay here again and would recommend the hotel since the day service, location, and breakfast are hard to beat with their competitive prices. For expectations management, just be prepared to use the stairs and keep asking for for new room card keys.
Close to the beach! Walk less than 1 minute to it!

One staff member was very nice, one okay, one not so friendly. Breakfast was nice - great coffee. Windows to view ocean from the dining area could have used a washing. Very convenient for beach access. Easy in and out to travel about the island. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable.

Priced Right

The breakfast was great. Being directly across from the beach was fantastic. The drive to downtown Galveston was less than 15 minutes and parking downtown is abundant and affordable. My only complaints are the beds are extremely soft and werent beneficial to my back/hip pain and it was too hot to sit on the balcony because of the AC unit.
