Great location

Price, location, staff, cleanliness and room size were very good. Wifi was bad and this is the second time that the wifi has been bad. Overall I would definitely stay here again. So handy for nightlife/shopping/exploring.

Excellent location/room size

Excellent value. Excellent location. Lovely staff. Lovely big room. One or two bad points. Very noisy street, didn't sleep well and the heater was extremely noisy and bed quite uncomfortable. Lovely hotel apart from that:)

Excellent Little Townhouse

Small clean and welcoming hotel. Room was spotless and airy and Air Con was excellent. Staff were very friendly and En Suite Clean and new looking. If there is one fault it is a noisy fan outside the window which makes noise all through the night. Car park was great and cheap and the Location is Excellent !!! I Will Be Back !!!!!

Great location - but pack earplugs!

This guest house is a no frills option for seeing Galway. It's basic, nicely decorated and in a central location close to everything so you can walk around and go back and forth easily. It is more like staying in a hostel than a hotel. The major downside to this hotel was the onstreet noise. Galway is all about the nightlife and the noise from the street (drunks fighting, women screaming, girls singing, people roaring etc for HOURS during the night) won't bother you if you are heading to the pub yourself each night. But, I wasn't and had the worst nights sleep the 3 nights I stayed. This might sound a petty complaint but I know sleep is important so I just wanted to warn other people! However, it is affordable so pack earplugs and this would be an ok base to explore Galway from.

Cheap but basic

Absolute bargain given the location, but you get what you pay for. Nice clean room, but a bit basic. Only 3 channels working on TV, but you're in the centre of Galway so not really an issue. Reception was often unmanned - it took 10 mins on arrival to get in. No bar or restaurant, although there is a kettle in the room if you're desperate. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. I think for a little more money you can get a fairly decent hotel with bar/breakfast/reception etc. Or for less, a hostel would have more amenities and more life, at least a recptionist!
