Expect to carry your luggage up narrow stairs. Typical Irish accommodations with no air or fans, so if you are there during a heat wave, expect to sweat.

Walk on the West End
This aging guesthouse is over a lively pub that doubles as the breakfast room in the morning. There's parking on the street out front and a small private lot out back. Rooms are compact but everything works. Small shower but plenty of hot water and a very clean bathroom. Wi-Fi worked great. Delicious hot breakfast too. And the best part was the hotel's proximity to the West End's Sea Road, where trad music pubs such as the Crane and Áras Na NGael, and restaurants such as Massimo and Mona Lisa, are a short walk away. Further on is the Dominick Street scene, and the bustle of the city centre is beyond that over the bridge. The Quays is like the Doctor's Tardis: looks small from the outside but huge enough for 800 people inside. The Skeff is nice too. In between them, lots of shopping, but watch out: all the shops close promptly at 6.
Very nice B&B. really liked the place, room and the service. brekkie was very good and the folks that work there are great. I'll be back and you should too!
Breakfast was very good, staff friendly. I checked in late. No problem. Rooms dated but clean and comfortable. Happy to stay here again. Good value for price.
Room was small and shabby bathroom had a very musty smell and shower was disgusting. Didn't really use bar a bit noisy first might but not really an issue for us. Short walk to salthill but definitely not to city centre and we would walk lots so would recommend bus.
Had a wonderful 3 day stay, staff were friendly, efficient and professional.Food was lovely and our room was spotless and very comfortable. Hotel is conveniently situated within walking distance of beach and bus stops which provide regular services into the city centre. My daughter found this hotel for us online and we are already planning a return trip.

Nice clean cisy room in a nice comfortable welcoming hotel in a quite part of a very busy city . Only 10 minutes walk to city centre and 5 minutes to the beach .
Room was warm and all expected facilities were provided(tea, coffee, towels, shampoos and shower gel) room was serviced to how we found it on arrival on our second day.
The breakfast was very nice and they also offer a variety of options for breakfast .
Have stayed at wards before and will again
This is a B&B. Not a hotel. Deceptive information about that matter you can find better quality B&B. For the same price in Galway city center.

Cheap, clean but too warm!
I was attending a party in the area so didn't spend too much time in the room. It was small and clean but the heat was stifling, I tried to turn it off but left the window open all night for some air. Hotel is dated but the price reflects this.
In Galway on medical visit and Hotel close to Hospital, only moan is that there was no meals served in evening, other wise very good for the amount paid
Perfect for a night away the hotel is a bit dated great location staff very helpful and friendly

close enough and reasonable
Extremely friendly service. Very small rooms, but clean. Being a solo traveler, all I needed was a bed and a working hot shower. The bar downstairs was fun and friendly with locals catching the latest rugby match. 10-15 minute walk to city centre. Excellent location and value on a somewhat residential street (the street was loaded with B&Bs, a long row of them.)

Great place to park up and celebrate Galway.
Having fond memories of the busy bar in the 1980/90's,I was familiar with this friendly family-run hotel. It's location is perfect,as its a stones throw from the city centre and Salthill "nite-life".Also my classic sports car was safely locked up in the secure private hotel car -park,which is outside the back-door entrance.Great breakfast, and,at 95eus for two weekend nights, its unbeatable for good value!
Tired run down hotel. Our small uncomfortable room was a 3rd floor walk-up. .Dance around under broken showerhead to try to get wet. Stairs so steep and narrow it was difficult to get luggage up.Hotel is part of and above a bar. At 3 am on first night apparently a bar patron tried to light up a cig in bathroom, and set off the FIRE ALARM for the entire building. Did get a "sorry about that" from the manager after we made our way down to the first floor.
Advertised free WiFi. Did not tell you that it wasn't available in the rooms. Very small carpark. 3 or maybe (?) 4 cars max. Good breakfast, but no other food available.
Stay again?.....Maybe if there were no other rooms available in Galway, but even then might consider Oranamore.
